Most of the space taken up is anime episodes that others have downloaded that I don't want to get rid of. The FAT32 and the NTFS disks are actually one 2TB external hard drive with two partitions, formatted with the labeled file system. I also have a complete backup of the D: drive on the NTFS drive because I was messing with Windows installations and ended up having to format. I didn't copy everything back, so it's not as full as it should be.

Posted on 01-24-14 10:57:01 AM, in What're you playing right now? Link
As my title suggests, I have been playing games by Konami's music game division, Bemani, mainly Beatmania IIDX. I started playing this about 4 years ago and am still playing fairly often to this day. On the difficulty scale of 1-12, I have been able to clear about 11 of the 100+ Level 12 songs available and with most of the Level 11 songs cleared. Using the class ranking system in the game, I am a 9th-dan (九段) player, which is the third highest class in the game, so I am a pretty good player. A run of me playing the course can be seen here (unlisted because reasons), to give you an idea of the difficulty of the game. I plan on streaming this starting tomorrow, so if you would like to see it, here is a link to my channel. I'm on IRC so I'll notify people there with a message and then a nick change. You can also see my current stats in the game on my sig image as I play since it updates periodically.

In the same vein, I have also been playing the international iOS versions of Jubeat and Reflec Beat, also by Bemani. I have been able to clear every chart on Reflec Beat after purchasing every available music pack. Similarly, I have been able to clear every chart on Jubeat that I have purchased. Both are touch-based, but are still very fun to play. I got a first generation iPad specifically so that I can play those games since they are only available on iOS.

Outside of Bemani, I have been playing other games. I have recently started Super Mario Galaxy 2. I currently have about 50 stars right now, just finishing World 3. I am having a lot of fun with it, more than I did with the first Galaxy. I don't even remember if I finished the first one. The levels are fun to run through and the orchestrated music is so awesome to listen to while playing.

I also started playing my long-ago Etrian Odyssey I game. I stopped partway through exploring the first floor of the last stratum, so I figured I'd play the game to finish it now that EOIV and Untold have been released. I was in the middle of grinding for money for some reason, so I decided to instead start doing some of the quests I've been putting off. I still think the hardest part of the game is coming up with names.

I played both Mario & Luigi: Dream Team and A Link Between Worlds and found them both to be very fun games. I completed them a while ago, and was intending to play their hard modes, but I haven't found the motivation to do so.

It has been a while since I last posted. I have been reluctant to post or speak out in any way outside of my family. I figured I should change that. Hopefully I don't just fall right back to not posting after posting for one day. I really hate when I do that.

This should prove interesting since the active users are kind of different from those that were active back when I wasn't so reluctant to post.

I think analog watches are more aesthetically pleasing, but I like how practical digital watches are since I haven't gotten used to an analog watch enough to tell what time it says immediately.

I prefer not wearing wrist watches though because I hate how it leaves a tan line on my wrist from wearing it. When I did wear a watch, I wore it on my right arm despite being right-handed because I thought it was more comfortable that way.

I just use my cell phone to see what time it is most of the time.

If anything, I'll forget it was even going on.

I'll be doing the same thing I always do every Friday: Rest and hang around on the internet. If I had anything better to do, I would do it, but I normally don't.

I first found out about SMW hacking through Lunar Magic. Looked at the links in FuSoYa's site and noticed it linked to Acmlm's Board, and decided to sign up. Back then, Acmlm's Board was in it's second iteration, and I have been following this community from that time, through the third Acmlm's Board iteration, through the split between ||board (now defunct) and Acmlm's Board 2 (now just known as Board2), and finally when the split happened between Board2 and Jul.

It's been one long ride, but it's been an interesting one to say the least.

Also, looking at the wayback machine, you should see how the activity changed here between years. Try looking at 2007 or 2010.

You can see in the stats page how the amount of new posts dropped from 200+ new posts per day until mid 2011, dropped further to more frequent double digit numbers of new posts at the end of 2011, and then having triple digit numbers of new posts become really rare approaching the end of 2012.

2013 is almost all double digit new posts with a few single digits here and there, and 70+ new posts have become rare at that point.

I think there are a few pages that show the activity graphically, which is a nice look into the trend of posting here at Jul.

I recently downloaded the song pack for the Japanese version of Reflec Beat plus that had this song. I have always liked Nekomata Master's music, but some of these hidden gems are hiding in games I don't normally play. Ever since I first heard it, I can't stop listening to it. And it helps that it also has a fun chart to play too.

I watched this back when there was only a few hundred people playing and watched the amount of people go up as time passed.

I found it interesting for the first few hours, but I lost interest as soon as the day ended. It's a novelty, but I don't find it very special.

I did have more fun watching Xk's stream of Tetris, particularly because of the fact that there was discussion about the Pokemon stream as opposed to the discussion about Pokemon.

I kind of wished Xk said something about it on IRC when he started. I only found out because someone in a different channel linked to it.

Normally in Phoenix, the weather can be summed up as "hot as always", but today a storm system came and caused an amazingly large amount of rain to fall in an otherwise dry place.

It rains more often during spring time, so this storm arrived earlier than usual. Because of this rain, it's cooler than it normally is, which is a welcomed thing since it's always so hot.

It's always surprising to see someone you've seen on a site you frequent (in this case, Jul) and see them somewhere else. Especially if you didn't know they had the same interest as you that would lead them to the same site that you suddenly found them in.

It's even more surprising when you learn that they've been at that site for a much longer time and they are a part of a group of users that pretty much all new users cannot be a part of.

It's a small world.

I've decided to try to make a simple layout utilizing CSS for the most part.

I did a few things in order to try to make the layout scale with regards to the resolution, but I'm not sure if there's anything I've messed up along the way. The biggest issue is dealing with my horizontally large sig image.

I've tested this layout across Opera, Firefox, and Chrome with positive results. Hopefully it works well with IE and other browsers as well.

So, in a bit of stupidity I had earlier, I managed to break a part of my netbook's screen. I was fixing my brother's bed sheets and the netbook was on the floor. You can figure out what happened.

Unfortunately, I made things worse later once I found out about it.

I can't believe that I accidentally did that.

There is also a Super Hard Mode that I never beat but I need to unlock it first. From what I remember, it is fiendishly difficult.

Good luck with that. I remember having quite a bit of trouble getting all of the gold crowns and defeating every boss without losing a treasure chest.

In fact, I actually still have my cartridge with my completed S-Hard save, complete with crown cursor and everything, along with the Hard save that I used to unlock S-Hard. I must have used an item at some point since my S-Hard save has about 9k coins less than my Hard save and 2 medals, while I never bought items during my Hard run, having 0 medals in that save.

I kind of want to play through S-Hard again, but I also don't want to go through that frustration again.

She's the closest to actually being a waifu for me. I say "close" because I think that in order for me to truly like a character enough to consider her a "waifu", I would try to immerse myself into the source material as much as possible. But I can't even be bothered to do more than log into the game she's from as close to everyday as I can. I just log in, get the daily log-in bonus, then close the game. It's kind of a fun game too, but I just can't be bothered to play.

I haven't posted in this thread in a very long time.

So today I was thinking about how I haven't posted in this thread in forever, and just for fun decided to go back and see what the last thing I mentioned here was. It looks like over 2 years ago the exact same thing was on my mind as it was today.

After reading this, you made me think the same thing of "What was the last thought I posted in this thread?".

It was a bit disappointing to see that it was just a post about how I found one of the users here in a different forum. I did, however, find a post I made a while ago saying how I "would try to make an effort to post here more often" for the nth time. I still managed to once again not follow through on that.

That's a nice simple layout you made!

The image still appears a bit cut off, but it is pretty unnoticeable. Setting your table cellpadding to 0 would get rid of that abrupt cut off in the image, but that messes with the rest of the layout. If you implemented CSS to your layout, you could add padding to specific parts to your layout so that you could have the layout like you want it and move the image so that you cannot see the part that gets cut off.

Edit: I just noticed in this post that I forgot to set a padding value to the bottom for large posts. I have fixed that now.
