Thanks for that bonifarz. You're a life saver!
EDIT: The problem was that the ROM was in the incorrect format. (Byteswapped, instead of Big Endian).

Here's my list of GFX Locations that I found while looking for the File Select buttons and stuff.
It's a short list, but if you have any, please post them here! Thanks.
[Start List]
Peach's Textures: 00934094
Yoshi's Egg: 00865094
Mario's Eyes (?): 00825894
Camera Icons: 00809F94
Letters and Stuff: 00802B94
HP Meter: 00AD5194
(C) text: 00AF6594
Fade Out and Transitions: 00814BC0
[End List]
And finally, DO NOT edit any garbaged characters or stuff. It's code, and you'll screw the game up. I did this unknowingly to the Copyright Text, and it stopped the game from loading the Mario 64 Splash screen.
Thanks again,
Matthew

@Ratchetfan19: Do you mean in the future, or do you know of a tool available?

Interesting. I'm waiting on a email from a guy, so I'll check it out.
I got 100 Lives cheat enabled, so I won't get Game Over that quick.

Hey guys,
Check this out! It's the remains of the Japanese Text that was used in SM64's Japanese version, in the English ROM.
Here's the URL: http://dlserver.smbcentral.net/images/OMGunusedjaptexts.png
Interesting. The Japanese text didn't get kicked out the back door, instead, it's wasting space inside the ROM.
What the characters mean is anyone's guess. I'm guessing they are letters.

Even if we knew all RSP commands, it wouldn't mean it would be easy to import external models. These commands put very specific restrictions on the way models are constructed, and 3d modeling programs don't know anything about these limitations.
Some guy said he imported a Mario Party 3 Daisy Model into SM64 and fixed all the animations. I'll see if I can get him to reveal his secrets...

You seem to be forgetting something.
Also. While, yes, one could change the texture of a 1up Mushroom to a Yoshi Egg, its behavior still remains and will still give one an extra life.
Doh, I forgot about that.
Thanks for the correction. I thought the guy meant normal super mushrooms.

Hi all,
I'm curious to know if you can change the Mario A, B, C and D text on the title screen.
The Glitch and I thought they were textures, and he did a Rice Video texture dump while I was at school, and reported back that it's text, not a texture.
Anyone have a idea of how to hack this text? I want to change it to Peach A, B and so on.
Thanks,
Matthew

Hi all.
I have a theory about changing the SM64 Sound Bank for inserting your own voices, and/or sound effects.
When I used Awwe's found SRIP tool, I found that the file(s) that are created are named after the pointers located in the ROM. For example, the A000800 file is mario's "Hoo!" sound. You look at the location in the ROM, and it says, "6A".
What I'm thinking is the Hex Values are pointers to the actual Sound Bank Sound Data in the ROM.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but all we'd need to do is find the data and decode it, and then the fun begins.
~Matthew

Originally posted by runehero123 Yah, I have 128mb of ram as well, haven't had any low memory warning's.
I have the latest version of Toadstool. After loading the extended ROM the program doesn't automatically load the "Castle Grounds" like it is supposed to. If I try to load a map in the drop down menu, I get an object script error. The only map I can successfully load is the "Secret Aquarium". Still, I get script errors when trying to Save the rom, or use most of the Camera commands. I use DirectX 7 for the rendering.
Does this require the latest version of Macromedia Shockwave or Flash Player? I'm pretty sure my Direct X is up to date.
[Edit] Wait a second, the newest version was released on November 2007? If so, then I actually don't have that version. Downloading now, plus the latest version of Shockwave. We shall see if this fixes my problems.
Interesting. DirectX that XP uses needs at least 256MB of Ram.
Try OpenGL...
EDIT: Script Errors? Perhaps you have a corrupted ROM. Try re-obtaining it and try again. Is the Version number v0.5.9b?
