The original ClayFighter on N64 had several characters cut due to cartridge size restraints, and later on an updated Blockbuster exclusive rework of the game came out that added in all missing character except one called Hobocop. Allegedly he was scrapped since Nintendo had deemed him too offensive, but lo and behold, he's in the data for Sculptor's Cut.



Cycling through a few iterations of the character select screen yields his name. Unfortunately, selecting him results in a green version of Bad Mr. Frosty, similar to that of the beta version of 63 1/3. I have imagine somewhere in the data has to exist some textures for him, although I'm not quite sure how to mine through it myself. Everyone had assumed he was just ditched 100% after the beta ROM yet it's clear he was going to be put back into this version before being ditched. The empty character slot most likely is where he would have been.

Footage from the PS1 prototype just got posted showing that Hobocop was a functional character with graphics ready. The PS1 version was being developed alongside the N64 one and would feature all content that had to be held back for Sculptor's Cut due to space constraints. There's more likely than not some remnants of his graphics within the beta N64 rom and Sculptor's Cut after seeing this, especially how he was going to be added in and was removed from the select screen of Sculptor's Cut, and the beta N64 rom for the original game has his name as selectable.
