(I was going to post this 6 hours ago, but I had to "fix" a motherboard issue, yay crappy computers)
My ISP is bad, but I never saw it as too terrible (even though it is according to the majory of people). The connection is mostly stable at least. Apparently there is also a download/upload limit I guess? But I never really noticed it. I can watch, or rather,
could watch YouTube videos up to 480p without a problem, but now that we have Netflix instead of cable TV (too costly), nope.

We were planning on upgrading it to 2Mbps soon-ish, barely changes the price.
Haven't tested mobile, but it isn't very stable here either way (using any of the five providers).
There was also a monopoly over here, like +5 years ago, from a company called Telefonica which also owned all of the phone lines (they still do, but they now have another brand name and also aren't as bad as before). It was very common for the internet to be unstable. They provided dial-up (what we used) and "Speedy", which was 1Mbps for a very high price (or 2Mbps for an even higher price).
EDIT: Ignore that it says "Embratel", my ISP is actually NET "Virtua" (the companies merged).
