Okay let me rant about Tetris Effect for a sec:

- June 6, 2018: the game was announced for the PS4.
- November 9, 2018: it was released as a PS4 exclusive for 6 months.
- July 23, 2019: the game was released for PC, but as an Epic Games Store exclusive for 1 year.
- November 10, 2020: the multiplayer version of the game will release exclusively for Xbox One, Xbox Series (X/S) and the Microsoft Store, for 6 months.
- Summer 2021 (probably July): the multiplayer version of the game will be added as a free update to all other versions, and the game will finally be released on Steam.

I don't own any 8th-gen console, so I have to buy it on PC. In 2019, I switched from using Windows 7 to Linux Mint (for many different reasons) so that means that Microsoft's Store is definitely not an option (unless I want to set up a virtual machine every time I want to run the game). So that means the only option I have at the moment is to buy the game on the Epic Games Store (which still isn't ideal as EGS is also not native to Linux, but at least it works, unlike the Microsoft Store).

*sigh*

Last year I thought, "y'know what, I want to avoid all the issues Epic is dealing with their store right now, so I'll wait a year or so until the game comes out on Steam, it'll be fine". I mean, it's not like I only buy games from Steam, if it was available through GOG.com (which lets be real, they're never going to do that) I'd totally buy it too but...man.

I started college on August 2018 and will finish it by July 2021 (probably). I will have completed what is essentially an entire chapter of my life before getting to play this game. You have got to be kidding with me.

I've been looking forward to playing this game ever since it got announced! I've bought Lumines Remastered (a game from the same developers) and I've been enjoying the hell out of it ever since, it's been an excellent de-stressor and, if Lumines with its quirky songs is capable of that, I can only imagine how playing Tetris Effect would feel like. And yet, at the moment I feel like yet another exclusivity deal is yet another punch in the face. we're in a pandemic season can you companies just not be greedy for once thanks

Brazil has handled the pandemic very poorly (specially the northern regions) and most people I've talked to have said that we have more or less gone back to normal and that if they get the virus then "so is life"

But at the very least I don't think we'll be getting a second wave???



I'm still working from home and studying from home, wearing a mask outside is still obligatory, so we're still taking the necessary precautions...I think?

honestly at this point I don't even, I'm just waiting until they make the vaccines so we can go back to normal. until then i'll just keep social distancing

Windows 10 has so many improvements and new features against Windows 7

but I always run into weird obscure hardware issues with it that I never ran into while using Windows 7 or Linux

so I dunno, I like how convenient it is for most users but I like having control over my computer. Windows 7 was a nice compromise between easy-to-use and control options (to me), 10 is not

also I still fully believe Microsoft with turn Windows 10 almost fully into Windows as a service later on (if they can)

Mario Party 5. I still had a fun time playing it but, I was expecting an upward trend after each Mario Party (3 is my favorite), and 4 was kinda like, better in some aspects and worse in others, but I still liked it and found it fun. But 5 just felt bland. I think the artstyle kinda hurt the game in that aspect. I don't find it to be as memorable as any the earlier ones.

Zero Time Dilemma...honestly I wouldn't be as mad with the game if it wasn't for the True/Final Ending. Like, it is a bit clumsy and kinda BS at times but I was willing to forgive all that due to the rushed development (considering the game was unlikely to even be made). But man, that ending does legitimately ruin VLR. (edit: actually I'm now remembering there's a lot more plot points outside of the ending that are still pretty bad)

I would've been happier thinking of Delta as a purely evil villain who was dead-set on making sure the world would go his way, or any other alternative, rather than the game even trying to explain his actions. Like for crying out loud, he's the leader of an extremist religious organization, there's many other options they could've gone for there! The plot for VLR and even inside ZTD itself lines everything up so well, except the game just decides to give you a middle finger right there at the end.

Had a dream where it was snowing but the snow was pollution and we had to stay indoors because breathing the pollution that was falling from the sky would probably cause incredible health problems. I hated that dream. It was more of a nightmare really.

Also had plenty of dreams involving stuff with Discord, so many I'm actually having trouble remembering what was a dream and what wasn't

as long as you are discreet about it and y'know, don't share a screenshot of you using an alternative client directly with Discord staff, they don't really do much of anything (at least, not currently)

someone i know has been using an alt discord client forever and has faced 0 consequences from it to this day

it is against their ToS but they seem to be chill about it (at the moment)

I don't know if its objectively bad but I have spent more hours into Paperboy 64 than I'd like to remember

Goofy's Hysterical History Tour was another one. I legit did like this game, I just thought that it was difficult. But playing it again made me realize, no it's not just difficult, it controls horribly

there were some PC games too I shouldn't even have bothered to play but I did anyway like Ice Cream Tycoon and Mahjong Towers Eternity (I forget if this one was bad or if it was just generic, it's been a while)

i have glasses which darken after like a couple of minutes in the sunlight

they were a bit pricier but considering i buy glasses like every once in years, i thought it would be a worthwhile investment. and it was! now i can actually walk without having to squint my eyes OR without having to stare down at the floor
