Heh, I was expecting some big surprise at the very beginning like the hatch at the beginning of Season 2, or the neighborhood at the beginning of Season 3. Hmm...do we need spoiler tags in here, or is it obvious? Eh, I'll put one to be safe...
Spoiler:
I pretty much expected another flash forward. Hurley's was pretty good, now we know six people supposedly got off the island, and the rest may still be alive or still be on the island. I'm wondering if they're only going to be doing flash forwards from now on. |

| -SMW2+2, my second Yoshi's Island. That one pretty much consumes my free time, plus I have no interest in any other projects at the moment. |

Minor update, but it's an update nonetheless .![]() An improved lavender Yoshi. The shade of lavender on this Yoshi is slightly lighter, and it eliminates that strange shade on Mario's hat and Yoshi's tongue. |

I'm playing the original Paper Mario on my Wii VC. Played the last two games first, then figured I'd go back and check out the original since I liked the second game a lot (Didn't like Super Paper Mario too much though ). So far I really like this one too.In a week, I'll be playing Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. As you can see... Possible spoiler: Spoiler:
...by my avatar, I'm a hobo Phoenix supporter ![]() |

I got it a couple of days ago. So far I'm not at all disappointed, and I'm quite intrigued by this first case and how it all will play out. I'm not hating Phoenix's new persona either . (As you can clearly see by this avatar I've been sporting for the past few weeks )Glad they brought back the 3D forensics feature, it's about time . Yeah, I know Case 1-5 was a DS exclusive and that's why that feature was in it . |

Hmm... I just finished Case 2. One thing I still didn't get, or may have missed...
Spoiler:
Who was the one who hit Phoenix with the car then? Did I miss this explanation? Or did they not explain it? I don't see why they wouldn't, that would seem pointless for him to be hit by a car for no reason. It didn't seem to be too related to the case anyway. |

| ZIP all the time. It's the first compression type I've ever used and I'm quite comfortable with it, so I never really tried any other. I do have WinRAR as well, just because I've been seeing them pop up more often when I'm downloading files. |

@S.N.N.: Nice new graphics set. What game is that from? I see a new feature there on the status bar I didn't see before..."Seals." What is that, or is it a secret for now? ![]() @Schwa: Nice idea with the boots. I remember Chip's Challenge too . Only other boot recommendation I can think of are Ice Boots. Maybe when you get them, if you step on water, it turns into ice blocks, thus you can reach different spots. Don't know if that's entirely possible, forgive me, I've been out of the loop of SMW hacking for years . |

I typically have to pay $50+ a week (Once every six days to be exact) to fill up my tank. Don't have much of an other choice, there are no other means of transportation available to get to my job location. I've tried to get a job in NYC, that'd save me some money on gas if I took the train, but for now it's driving. Anyway, gas is just one more expense I have to worry about, there's also tolls, which incidentally also recently went up in my state . |

Interesting screen, S.N.N. What kind of music will that level actually have...will it be reflective of the background? ![]() As for what game that's from, I have no idea. ![]() @Schwa: How about for boots, Moon Shoes. I remember always seeing a commercial for them in the 90's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaMY8XakxQ8 I guess you can make them do something like that in your SMW hack . Not exactly, but just to make Mario jump higher. ![]() |

| An update on SMW2+2... All levels are now complete. Mattrizzle is working on icons for the hack, so once that's done, it'll be released. In the meantime, here's a new video. |

I'm liking all the new boots there. My favorites would have to be the Wing Boots and Screw Attack. I'm sure you already have some devious puzzles in store now that you've made yourself so many new powerups .Only thing that seems a bit odd is the sound effect made by the screw attack. The Swooper sound SFX seem kind of strange, is that just a placeholder? It doesn't seem to be too fitting, I'd probably recommend to Magikoopa Magic sound effect. I think it'd be fitting for the split second of invincibility, IMO. Don't sweat that too much, at this point I'm just trying to find something wrong with them for the sake of finding something wrong . Anyway, good job . |

| The most valid excuse I have is traffic. My office building is right by the George Washington Bridge of all places, plus I have to take the NJ Turnpike, so the traffic excuse is my best bet. I also try to keep a good preplanned list of excuses for not coming in on the weekend when my boss asks. For example, my boss asked if I could come in this Saturday or Sunday. Since it's March, I've had the "I have to do my taxes" excuse saved up, so today I used it. And low and behold, this weekend I actually am doing my taxes . Plus, Sunday is Easter, and I of course have plans . |

Since I'm still living at home, everything I make just goes right into savings. I'm always on time with credit card payments as well, so at least I'm building up credit in addition to securing some savings. When it comes time to actually pay a bunch of other bills, don't know how well I'll handle that .One thing I neglect to do is balance my checkbook. I always know what's in my checking account, and I always check online to see my balance so I can effectively keep track of transactions, but as for physically balancing it, eh, don't think I've done that in a couple of years . |

Originally posted by pieguy1372 That's true, but that's just the way I designed it. I use slopes where I see necessary. Sure they add more detail, but with this level, the overall theme was mushrooms, so those pretty much took over as you can see. It depends on what type of level you're designing and what feel you want to go for. Probably a good example of where I DO use slopes is my last video of 3-7: Gnarly Slopes, Dude! Hell, it even has the word "Slopes" in the level name. Well, you sure seem to be a stickler for flatness .

Thank you for the feedback. ![]() As for the Poochy part though, I pretty much used those mushroom platforms to guide him down to the bottom ledge. Luckily I didn't use any more for that purpose (don't think I'd want to anyway ).The lowering pillars aren't too hard to make. All you need is the sprite (the ? cloud) and the actual ledge. You do, however, have to make the ledge a certain size, and put the ? cloud a certain distance from the ledge for it all to work. Anyway, I've refrained from showing anything from World 5, since I don't want to spoil too much (there will be plenty to spoil, believe me ). But I have posted one screen of World 5 earlier:5-2: Fish With Big Appetites ![]() I think the level name speaks for itself . |
