| So about the release date... would the basic answer to the question "Why aren't you announcing a date?" be something along the lines of "I (as in you) don't actually know myself when it'll be finished"? |

Originally posted by VL-Tone I've I said previously, I work a lot at my "real job". Outside of my job I don't have much time for myself. When I do have time off, I may decide to work on TT64, but I may also decide to relax and watch a movie or some TV episodes, surf the net, or see my friends on the weekend. Considering how much I work at my job, I don't think anyone could consider that laziness.
If I set a release date, I will be "forced" to work on TT64 to meet that schedule, even when I'm tired and I feel like doing something else.
I'd rather not set any date and have people wondering when it will be released, or maybe even lose interest, than set a date where hype will be built, the pressure will accumulate, and have a possible huge disappointment if I don't meet that date.
It will more than probably be ready before the end of the year, but I'm not giving any guaranty, and I don't want to see anyone waiting december 31st for a release if it's not out before then.
Some people are like that. I mean if something is announced for say, Q3 2009, people will wait until the very beginning of Q3 2009 (June 1) and pester the person to release it, everyday, from then on ... and I'm aware of the multiple failed release schedules you've made -- take the first public beta released June 21, 2007 for example, originally, you planned to release that as early as January 2006 according to this...

Well the old fad of "Googling gets you answers" is actually false.
For example, I googled "When will I next be having carrots for dinner?", and I got nothing.
But seriously, there should be a Mario Kart editor. I can't believe Nintendo haven't thought of implementing an in-game one. Codemasters did it with Micro Machines '96 and V4 (as well as the DOS version of Micro Machines 2). |

| The part that plays before the intro, is just a part of the Main Theme, right? |

I decided to create an article on The Nintendo Wiki (http://nintendo.wikia.com). It's not much at the moment, just a sort of introduction and a table of versions and their release dates.
I just wanted to make sure, have I missed any?
Here's what I've got so far:
0.1b - June 21, 2007
0.2b - June 22, 2007
0.3b - June 25, 2007
0.4b - July 17, 2007
0.5.7b - September 13, 2007
0.5.8b - September 21, 2007
0.5.9b - September 23, 2007
0.5.95b - January 19, 2008
0.5.98b - January 24, 2008
0.5.99b - September 14, 2008
0.5.991b - October 19, 2008
0.5.992b - October 19, 2008
0.5.993b - October 31, 2008
0.5.994b - November 2, 2008
It seems a bit odd that there isn't a version between 0.4b and 0.5.7b, for example, shouldn't there be a 0.5b first? Or maybe a 0.5.1b up to 0.5.6b? Also, was there ever 0.5.91b to 0.5.94b, or 0.5.96b or 0.5.97b? Or did it go straight from 0.5.95b to 0.5.98b?
BTW, I got the dates from downloading each version and checking the "Date modified" date of the actual program, which is as close as I could get, and it's very easy to download each version, I just simply changed the URL. For example the URL for the current version is
http://homepage.mac.com/qubedstudios/ToadsTool64Betav05994b.zip
If you changed the v05994b to say v01b, you'd get version 0.1b |

OK, so I removed 0.7b from the list. It's not Wikipedia, it's a Nintendo Wikia. Also, I created the article.
Does no one read? "I decided to create an article" ... first post, first paragraph, first line?
So instead of telling me to focus on fixing the article, try reading things, then you may realise that IS the article. Also it's not just a list of release dates or whatever.
If you want to fix it: http://nintendo.wikia.com/wiki/Toad%27s_Tool_64
I only asked if I had all the versions, I never said anything about this being purely a version history, but then I forgot, this place is full of idiots who just flame everyone over anything.

Just patch "MonochromeMario64.ppf" and not the "obj_import6.ppf" file as it's already patched in.
So I'm not the only one who likes Wario Blast music? |
