| My name is, um... "Bums and willies!". I've come to this forum to see what it's like. And uh, about the username... when I was registering to this board, my 9-year-old son walked in to see me wondering what my username should be. He snatched the keyboard off me then, being a nine-year-old, he types "Bums and Willies!" into the username field, another immature message in the password field (I had to get it out of him so I could log in myself) and then he logged me in! I will change my password shortly so my son can't access my account then get down to business! I would love to rereg to get myself a sensible username, but then I don't want to get banned for reregging... So what's up? |

| As you guys should already know, I'm a divorced father of a nine-year-old son. Ok, I didn't tell you about the divorced bit, but never mind, you know now. I've been divorced for about five years now. I haven't been in any sort of romantic relationship with anyone since, but I had been coping quite well. That's all changed however, as a couple of years ago, someone new stepped into my life. Back in 2010, I had got myself a new job of a support assistant in a school for young adolescents with communication difficulties, and that's when I first met this lady that I intend to talk about in this post (let's just call her EH, those are her enitials). At first, EH would try to avoid me (she hated me back then because I would swear a lot, which I only ceased when I got a extreme scolding from the headteacher/principal of the school mid-2011, nearly losing my job), but then after I settled into my job late 2011, she finally spoke to me. She wouldn't do this often to begin with though, but as time went by, we talked to each other a lot more, and then by July (last year) we were chatting to each other every day at work, and at the end of the month when the school broke up for summer, we exchanged phone numbers. It was at this point when I started to fall in love with her. When we returned to work in September, we somehow became best friends, and we would talk to each other about our lives. Then we decided to meet up outside of work, which we did, in November, to go and watch a film at the cinema. She seemed to enjoy my company, so we decided to meet up again later that month to go bowling. This led to us meeting up a lot more over the months leading up to now (I think the best one was when I took her out for dinner at her favourite italian restruant on her birthday). About a month ago however, the school I was working at had recieved news that it would have to close down at the end of the academic year (well, my colleagues were quite dickheaded), at this point I realised that I really need to tell EH my feelings about her, that I love her, so we can get into a relationship and see each other more often. Don't get me wrong, I was meaning to tell her quite some time ago, but the problem was, that I believe that she would be much better for me than my ex-wife ever was (people even think that me and EH would make a lovely couple), so I've spent most of my time worrying about what would happen if she said no, as my life seems to revolve around her these days. I really wanted to know if she loves me or not, so on the last day of work, I wrote her a letter with my feelings about her inside, and I gave it to her. She read it and told me she would text me later that evening. So now here I was, spending most of the evening lying on the bed with my phone by the bedside, feeling really lonely being the only person in the household (my son was having a sleepover at his friend's house), I was starting to worry that maybe I've said too much in that letter. Evantually she did text me at around 10PM, saying "Thanks for the letter ".Although I was relieved that she got back to me, it didn't really go quite as planned. She now knows I love her, yet she hasn't told me if she loves me or not. I've got a really bad feeling about this. EH is a really shy person, but I don't see why she wouldn't tell me that she loves me (if she does) when I've told her that, so it's possibly possible that she doesn't love me, but she doesn't want to hurt me by saying that. I don't know what to do with myself. I would ask her to go on a proper date or be in a relationship but I don't want to sound desperate. Also, we're meeting up again late August/early September, I really don't know if it's going to be safe to hold her hand, give her a hug, or even kiss her. Help me out of this hole someone. How can I get her to tell me if she loves me or not without making it sound awkward? |

| Hmm... I went to look in the dictionary to found out who was right in the hummus/houmous/¤¤¤¤¤¤ ¤¤¤ arguement an surprisingly the word isn't there! I'm about to have a meal with fries/chips in. Honestly, I'm British, and I don't understand why in other countries crisps are called "chips". Here in the UK fries are called "chips". |

| When a baby is being made, chromosomes (X and Y) decide if it will be a boy or a girl. Two X Chromosomes make a girl, and an X and a Y make a boy. I'm fascinated to know if it would be possible to get two Y chromosomes to make something (no Xs), and what sort of creation would that make? |

| Welcome to my humble abode of a thread. Please, take a seat on the plush sofa, whilst I get you a coffee. You want sugar you say? Very well, one lump or two? THREE?!? Fine, here you go. Drink up, whilst I tell you my (in?) genius idea for this board. Now then, I've been digging through the trash, wondering if I would find anything interesting, when I had come across quite a few banned users with their thread(s) in the trash. Some would repetitively make one post after another with useless junk, and judging from dates/times shown above their posts, it seemed as if they were testing to see how many spamposts they could make before they get banned. So basically, our problem here is that people keep clogging up subforums with spammy threads, so then the admins have a hard time banning the user, then moving all of his/her posts and threads to the trash, but I've thought up some sort of filter that you could put onto the site. My suggestion is that when someone makes a post, they are not able to post again for a couple of minutes. This is to avoid situations like someone repetitively making spamposts, and that admins have the chance to ban the user before they have the chance to destroy the forum. Or if you're unable to implement that filter, you could always add a feature for mods and admins to move multiple threads at once! That's all I have to say. I hope you've been listening well. | How has your stay here been so far? It's been enjoyable. I'm pleased I've had no comments about my humiliating username (except my intro thread) yet. I'm finding it really hard to reach 20 posts though, because I can't think of what to post on this site. How did you find Jul? One of my friends from reality had signed up here some time ago, and he told me this website was great and that I should try it out. He sent me an email with the website address and so here I am. What convinced you that this was a neat place to join? Usually on forums, the members are boring and send anyone who browses the site they're on to sleep. But here, the users have an amazing sense of humour. I enjoy looking through threads and getting a good laugh from them. The admins also seem to be able to control their members well. What country are you from? I'm from the UK. |

| I live in the UK. I wouldn't say that it is quite a western country (judging by a world map, although people might say otherwise). We're both really busy over the Summer too, so it'll be hard to find a weekend to go out for dinner or something, like you suggested. |

| Many years ago, back in the days of my youth (or just a few months ago, to be more accurate!), I went to Germany to visit my parents. A journey on a train one night was the most memorable moment of that abroad trip. My dad was being really annoying, taking photos of me over and over, and I was really tired, so I stuck my middle finger up at him when he next pointed his phone at me, and he took a photo of that! He's got that photo as his screensaver now, of me swearing. Honestly, why does he like that? What had also happened on that journey was that a bunch of teenage drunkees got on the train, and instead of fighting (although it did seem like they were going to at first), they sat in their seats and burst out singing (in german, so I couldn't quite understand what they were saying), banging on the tables like drums, and pretty much enjoying themselves. It was really entertaining, although it was really sad to see the alcoholic choir leave the train. I'm abroad right now, taking a holiday in Lithuania, staying in a natural hotel (made by planks of wood), by a huge lake. I'm going to take my son for a swim in there tomorrow morning. |
