So, I've found a few wierd things with Borderlands 2 recently, I've noticed in the weapons and items classes all have an "iris" as a category, but the save editor I have (Gibbed's) doesn't link it to anything, such as parts or balances. They're just there for some reason, so I'm curious as to what the Iris items are. There's heads that go under the name of Iris, rather than letter and number codes for instance. There's a debug menu also, same as the original, again it seems its settings were sabotaged, I'd love to get that working. It's not truly necessary, since you could bind keys to commands. And there's a vehicle flipping system left in, but the vehicles won't allow for it to be used. I found it out by getting both a runner and bandit technical stuck in the loadpoint between Three Horns Valley I believe, and the Dust.

No, this was even before we got DLC. I can get around your model viewer's issue by porting models to UnrealEd Engine 2. Except the framerate sucked a bit with Borderland's original models. And I'm pretty sure an Iris is part of an eye.

As soon as an Unreal Editor is made for it, I'm finding out if the Iris stuff is a parent class. That'd be an explanation at least.

Right now I'm wondering how you'd convert a model from OoT to a Source Engine game such as Gmod. Wouldn't it have the same issue, or are the models edited when put into Gmod? Perhaps there's something to learn from Source Engine in order to make this work properly?

I've got a Majora's Mask Young Link Model in Gmod, I'm pretty sure it could be animated with Majora's Mask's animations. Also, good progress. I find Utility of Time rather annoying to work with, and very creepy. I'm glad somebody's actually trying to make a decent model viewer for OoT and MM these days.

Perhaps all of the data doesn't need to be interpreted through N64 interpretation, but some type of alternative data. They had to have created it somehow without the models being glitched.

So, they can only be read with proper, and specific interpretation of the bones.

-Kyo, Iori and Reiji
-Jun, Miu and Moe
-Reiji, Ryo and Kensou

Ryo and Kensou don't need Orochi rank. I tried to get this endings in the American version but couldn't and someone at Youtube told me that you can only get those endings in the Japanese version. Here's the link to the special endings:

Is it worthy of being on the wiki? If it is, I guess a translation would be nice (I couldn't find any). I don't know how to look into the ROM, sadly.

Also, I've played with the debug in King of Fighters 2003. First, the debug mode works a little different than in other games (most notably all characters have their correct pallette in the sprite viewer). Sadly there is no act code displayed in the sprite viewer, most of the debug menus have no text, and there isn't much unused stuff, though I haven't looked at most of the characters yet. There are also a lot of weird animation that I don't know if they are used or not.

There's a thread around here for translations on Japanese text somewhere.

In what way was it hidden in the first game? Also, how would you operate "Turtle Up!"?

Ahh... a friend of mine had given me the editor, but I never knew where he had gotten it from. Also, in recent news, I've beaten the Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt DLC, and it looks like this could be a jackpot of unused/unfinished content. Large surroundings, few quests, collision laziness, etc. It was quite fun, but too short for it's open scenery and large level design.

You mean the leftover cutscenes in the Temple of Time, that come from three different areas, and once the cutscene finishes, it leads you to the corresponding area? Like how the Kokiri Emerald Cutscene teleports you to the Sacred Forest Meadow? Is this what you're talking about? And also: ew... revisiting areas...

I have no idea, just try it out and see what comes up. I've wondered for the longest while why there's no Soul Calibur (1-5 and Blade) TCRF pages. Maybe you could try out seeing what Soul Calibur 2 and 3 load up in the textures as a test? I know Soul Calibur 3 might be a gold mine of unused content. See what comes up.

Posted on 03-06-13 01:02:40 AM, in I need some help with getting a look at the Soul Series's files. (last edited by omega59 at 03-06-13 01:03:47 AM) Link
So, I've always wanted to see what Soul Calibur 1-5 and Soul Blade have to offer in the way of TCRF usable material. I can already note three major things, but I want to look at the game's files for unused and interesting things. All I have so far is: Assassin, Berserker, and Lizardman are interesting characters in Soul Calibur 2. Assassin uses Hwang (forgot his middle name, a bit embarrassing) Young's animations from Soul Calibur, has only one weapon, the Assassin Blade (very plainly named for a Soul Calibur game). I believe Hwang (X) Young was planned and scrapped for Soul Calibur 2. He was never featured in any way I know of since, other than reference. Berserker uses Rock's animations, and has only one weapon. Like Assassin, he has a lot of costumes, and they're surprisingly detailed. Perhaps they're based off of Nightmare's older concept arts or something? Lizardman is the most incomplete, as he has no command list. His weapon is named, Glyakus Weapon I think? He has quite a few costumes too. That's all I got. Hopefully, I'll get lucky and find a Gamecube Rom of Soul Calibur 2. The XBox one is compressed into 3 files, one being the whole game data.

Or actually, better yet, is there a way to do so with the Wii's Homebrew Channel?

Now, since I'm on my 3DS, I couldn't see any of the first one, and the links don't seem to register, so typing in the last Link is out of question. On the second picture, Young Link has a wierd look on his face, it's decently funny.

Somebody's trying now? The game looked like the one to use TGAs personally. I can't be of much help, but I thank you. I'll try to look through the files too though, tell you guys if there's anything interesting.

Posted on 03-07-13 02:23:52 AM, in Help with game remastering Link
So, there's two semi-older games I'd like to remaster, but I'll need a bit of help. The first being Star Wars Republic Commando, which runs on Unreal Engine 2. I'd like help learning the scripting language (nearly identical to Javascript), and some suggestions on how to round out some game features, such as the zooming. The second would be Star Wars Battlefront II, which I have yet to find myself an editor for. Anyone think they can help me out?

Only Marcus and Torgue Machines exist (although I have an awesome image in my head of a bandit vending machine).

Twilight Princess's items and such are mostly from Ocarina of Time, such as bomb arrows. In essence, it's Ocarina of Time's spiritual successor, so they have similar vibes, at least to me. Interesting though.
