| I have that same card, nvidia geforce 9800 gt, but in 512mb. I got it a few months ago. Pretty nice card. I don't have any specific numbers, though, sorry. |

| I assume dolphin, since it's the only mature, if not THE only Wii emulator. I remember playing ultrahle on my K6-2 500Mhz computer with a 32MB PCI TNT2 Model64. Good lord was it bad. It was aaaaaaalmost full speed but not quite. Problem was it corrupted textures and crashed a lot. |

| My desk never gets too bad anymore... from left to right: body spray, papers, napkin with cup on top with orange peel inside, CD-R spindle, empty box of boneless wings that I'll throw out soon (hasn't been there longer than a couple hours), speaker, pens/pencils/markers, headphones, monitor, keyboard, blank DVDs (behind monitor), mouse, speaker then usually my phone but that's on my bed at the moment. EDIT: It does need to by cleaned with a damp cloth and dusted, because ti's dirty and has a few drink rings on it. My desk areas used to get pretty bad. It was especially bad in college but due to lack of space; think windows defragmenter, it can't do much without so much disk space available. ![]() |

| Not a virgin. Just wanted to see what it was like. I don't think of sex as anything more than recreational. Not that I think much about "love" as it is. You humans and your emotions. |

| I remember reading an article about that very ad. I don't remember where it was, though, but it showed the general decline of the ad. For some reason, I'm pretty much numb to advertising, and none of the sex-appeal stuff has any effect on me. But for those that haven't learned to ignore it, and remain vulnerable to it's tricks, is unfortunate. They continue to be taken advantage of, because the products that are most advertised are the worst products out there. For example: fast food chain restaurants, horrible as seen on tv style products and so on. Oh well, just need to do your best to keep them out of your life and /ignored. |

Kernel support is good through ndiswrapper (and maybe newer kernels like 2.6.30, i haven't checked), but the thing is a real pile of shit, otherwise. When I'm having wireless problems, I first disable any network managers or other related daemons, like wpa_supplicant (unless you need it for it's WPA-ness), then try to create a connection by hand (since you're using WPA, this doesn't apply so much, but if someone finds this thread in the future with a related problem, they'll see it): modprobe wirelesscarddriver ifconfig wlan0 192.168.1.100/24 up //or whatever a free IP is on your subnet iwconfig wlan0 essid "the AP's ssid" channel # //replace # with the channel for your router route add default gw 192.168.1.1 //the IP to your router then edit /etc/resolv.conf and add: nameserver 192.168.1.1 replace 192.168.1.1 with whatever your DNS server should be, save then quit. type iwconfig to see if it associated. If you see a MAC address, you're good. As for your specific problem, I'm kinda stumped; WPA in linux is kinda touchy and weird, with wpa_supplicant. I found a guide for Gentoo on how to configure wpa_supplicant that should apply just fine to other distributions. It's what I used and I'm running quite well. http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-x86.xml?part=4&chap=4 I think this is it.. |

I haven't watched the show much, but it's still unfortunate. It's one of the few tasteful children's shows around. The rest are retardedly stupid or something like teletubbies or some shit.

Differences in lspci output usually have to do with a different database version.. Run update-pciids i think it is, might be . or _ instead of -, to update the database. Now, not being able to access /dev/null? yeesh.

Yeah that post was a bit harsh with the whole lazy cunts thing. Anyway, if you make a post with a REASONABLE request, like a "How do I do this small thing?", you'll get some help. Some people might try to explain some basic algorithms to you, even. The website I like is: http://cplusplus.com/ Has a good library reference.

I prefer desktops, although lately i've been on the mbp because my room has been terribly hot so im stuck downstairs on the couch.
Laptops are much more expensive than desktops, harder to maintain/upgrade/service, a bit clunkier to use and not quite as powerful, but you can move them around or sit in a comfortable position to use one. Desktops I can build myself for cheap, and make sure I have quality parts. I can easily get in to the case when something explodes or otherwise starts on fire or just to clean the cat hair out of a heat sink. They can also be top of the line machines for about half the price of a top of the line laptop. Unfortunately, they cannot easily be moved around, need to be plugged in at all times and you can't adjust yourself much from what your seat allows you, and still be able to use the keyboard and mouse, or view the monitor. -------------------- |

I'm really, really gay. Could never imagine myself having sex with a woman, ever.
I don't know any other gay guys around here, but I never really go out so I wouldn't. I'm terribly shy and socially inept and most random people just don't interest me at all. -------------------- |

Hey. I'm a rather novice programmer, so I threw something kinda neat together. I never saw anything like this before so thought I should share it.
Basically what it does is playback and record standard input, with timing preserved, like a video. I did some testing and it _does_ work with ncurses output, as well as aalib and libcaca output. Some problems, though. You need to use it on the same terminal type you recorded from. If you recorded your file from a Windows command line, it wont work in a vt100 terminal emulator and vice versa. Another problem is the recorder does not comple for Windows, as Windows's fnctl.h lacks ... a lot. Someone with a Windows installation would have to find a Windows-centric method of enabling nonblocking input, but this is just a shitty little program so who cares, right? I included a test file. (just drag out.atxt in to asciiplay.exe in Windows or read the README for linux, it's simple.) As you can see, it preserves the timing of the (long) zsnes compile and even emerge's colors. Download asciirec.tar.bz2 (winrar or 7zip should be able to open it) -------------------- |

I was in 7th grade. I didn't find out until I got home. My school at the time was some really horrible place in the ghetto and they were pretty much afraid of overstimulating the students at all in case they'd riot or something... which, considering the students there, may have just happened...

I had dialup from about 1998 until I'd say 2005. Various providers, some OK, some bad, some exceptional as far as dialup goes. I then got some OK DSL from Verizon. It was the second lowest tier at the time, I guess: 1.5Mbit/768kbps. Then there was some storm and the lines got fucked up and couldn't handle the higher speed or something (that's how they explained it) so they downgraded our package to a slower one, ~800/160. Next to useless for torrenting. Then I moved to my sister's house after my grandma had a stroke where we have something like 3Mibt/1Mbit. It's alright for my needs. I hear some people complain when their downloads drops below 1MB/s They're crazy.
