it was pretty much targeted at the people here who were sucking dev cock.
Also what does that even mean, "there are some things not meant to be open-sourced"? That's just making a silly statement and not really providing any real information. Hell, I'd be fine if he just released the engine as open source, and charged for the art/script/etc resources, like iD does, so maybe other people can continue work on it, and port it over to android or iOS or linux or mac or wii or something, and add new functionality and so on. -------------------- |

There are winsock fixer utilities. That usually wipes out some things, as long as it's not resident.

That's pretty awesome. Minecraft has needed some kind of scripting (that isn't something terrible like redstone). I assume there are standalone objects that can run scripts, and somehow interface with the world?

Hell, downloading it before they're caught. The thing has to be contained oon several racks of drives. Anyway, the only thing it'd do is actually invading people's pivacy, because they won't blame their policy on data mining for what happened. They'd just patch the hole and continue on doing what they're doing. It's way too profitable for them to stop.

You should do a fancy color coded poll like I do.

Tthis is pretty good. Of course, they can still track people if they get a warrant. I wondeer what this does for cars that have built in tracking functionality used (hopefully) for car theft.

If programs refuse to load, increase your resolution.
Also, the explorer ribbon doesn't seem too bad, but it could be better by being fully user-definable. Honestly, I find it better tthan what was there, since you probably won't need to switch tabs very often. I think it can also be made smaller. -------------------- |

Check out what I got today.
Front Inside Runs on a 1Ghz VIA C3 Eden, with VIA everything chipset. 512MB DDR RAM USB touch screen (works in linux, but needs calibration, badly.) Mostly just very low-end. It comes with Windows XP embedded, that just boots to some Verizon display thing. If anyone cares, I can dump it to something and put it up somewhere, but it's probably not interesting. It can boot from CD just fine, though, so I've been using a linux live CD to mess with it. -------------------- |

Something tells me this'll be a lot like a Kindle Fire. I dunno, a low price might be enticing, but I really don't like the trade-off. It's much better to spend a bit more on a system that doesn't transmit everything you do somewhere, and limit you to a specific market. And the biometric stuff just sounds creepy.

I like the solid colors better, but I'm probably just sick of gradients. Though your choice of colors for the gradient are good, and the actual ramping seems interesting. Not quite the usual linear RGB blend, though that could just be a misconception. Working the colors in with a more 80s90s line or block pattern would be neat (see the O in the 80s microsoft logo, or the old diet pepsi can design, or the way the old windows logo kind of "faded out" in to squares/)/

You're comparing a premade "gaming PC" that is mostly stock hardware and software to a probably subsidized computer. It might impose limitations, or only allow "trusted" (Steam) software to run or it might come preloaded with monitoring software for marketing research, or collect statistics on what games users play and how much they play it. That's the tradeoff of a console, generally. Cheap but you lose all your rights. People will go very very far with what they're willing to give up for convenience (Apple), other people do it (Apple, basically any popular game/music/movie franchise) or to save a buck (Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony).

Yay for posting with mobile layout. A couple posts showed up as the normal layout, though, which is weird.

Probably should keep it in a "spoiler" type tag, or just link to the images with a note. I imagine there are a lot of young children who browse and if you want any legitimacy, you should probably be fairly accepting of squeamish parents.
