It seemed they tried to avoid placing blame on the parents for putting the TV on a stand that was unfit for the TV. Rather, they made a mention of that fact, but overall treated it like it was some unavoidable accident. I hope the parents get some kind of consequence for being irresponsible.

Which do you like? I personally prefer mustard, ketchup, sometimes mayonnaise, occasionally salt and/or pepper, and sometimes relish. Other things, I'd need to probably try first. I used to hate a lot of condiments when I was younger (I was picky, and a lot of flavors were just too strong for me.), like reish and mustard.
I'd probably like hot sauce on sandwiches, too. -------------------- |

I prefer my jelly to be jam or preserves, where it actually has something resembling fruit in it. Also high fructose corn syrup isn't chemically more dangerous than table sugar/sucrose. It's just cheaper, and for many applications doesn't taste as good, not that overprocessed white sugar tastes fantastic anyway. Would be nice to see more foods with lesser processed, browner sugars. Very robust taste in comparison, just for some reason, much more costly.

Burgers and subs count as sandwiches. However, I don't think I'd count stuff like pitas, wraps or burritos/tacos as sandwiches.
Also can someone add horseradish? I forgot that one. -------------------- |

Originally posted by Metal_Man88 Pretty much what I was going to say. And yeah, the illegality of copying DVDs yourself I think comes from DMCA. It may or may not be (there's a lot of misinformation here) illegal to copy a DVD assuming it's unprotected, as long as you weren't distributing it, for example, to put on a portable media player. But basically, the law works out in their favor so for any device or format you want the movie on, you need to buy it multiple times. Now, legal enforcement isn't enough for them. They need to make it technically difficult to do, so they make it so you can only watch the video from a stream that they have basically full control of up to the point that it's displayed on your monitor. It's through a trusted pathway all the way from their server to the display elements on your monitor, and if it was up to them, you'd never, ever have a locally cached copy. You'd need to ask them every time you want to watch the movie. Current infrastructure in the US, and many other countries makes that impractical, though, especially with people who want to be able to watch movies on their phones (for whatever reason.). So for now, we'll have physical media and offline copies (though still encrypted and restricted to certain software and OSes.). As for DVD, I think it's here to stay for at least a decent while longer. I know plenty of peopel who still have DVD players and no blu ray players, or just don't get the blu ray discs due to cost, or they already have the movies on DVD and/or VHS. I could definitely see the reason that people would want to replace VHSes with DVDs, but there really isn't much gain to be had from replacing DVD with blu ray. HD is nice, but I doubt most people care that much. -------------------- |

Oh god the post processing really sucks. On a lot of TVs some of it simply can't be disabled.
Also yeah, a good blu-ray looks absolutely fantastic. I just don't think people are going to go out and replace their DVD collection any time soon, if they already have DVDs. Also, currently blu ray disc movies are still fairly costly compared to DVDs for new releases. -------------------- |

For a programmer, a different metric would be useful. That is, being able to stream from a internally generated source.

Don't expect to play games with fantasic performance. It might have some kind of 3d support, but it'll still perform along the lines of a geforce 2 or some kind of intel integrated. Given that, if you want to game, better stick with windows. Otherwise you can probably do anytthing else in mac os.

Eh, their motives aren't too bad. They're just trying to be friendly and helpful. Or just maybe poking a bit of fun but it's hardly anything to really mind much at all.
The whole market research stuff feels exploitive, though. I really don't like it in much any form. Collect statistics about how much something sells, but don't create profiles of people. I like being reasonably anonymous. -------------------- |

Consistently cold weather doesn't do me in, but this massively fluctuating weather sucks for me for some reason. Super cold or super hot outside is fine, as long as I'm warm enough inside, and I don't get sick, but if it's getting hot then cold then hot again and then cold again like it's been doing, I just feel like hell, and wake up with a headache and sore throat and feel tired as hell. This winter season sucks.

Would be nice if they open source it, but we all know they're just going to milk an unsupported game which will probably continue to require bug fixes and other general shortcomings.
