I find Math easier, yes. Came up in my last Physics lab, amusingly. It came up when I accused the teacher of misspelling "focussed" by putting an extra s, but it turns out it's an acceptable (although rarely used and really awkward) spelling.
It's amazing how depressed I can get from two classes at school. Maybe just as amazing as how I feel much better after an hour of Pokemon.
I'm actually really excited about the WiiU, and even pre-ordered and bought the deluxe version, but my family payed for it as a Christmas gift and so I have to wait a month to open it.Looking forward to Nintendo Land, NSMBU and eventually Rayman Legends the most.
So far (haven't opened the extended family gifts yet, it's the party right now):
- WiiU (opened early for the update) with:
--- Nintendo Land;
--- New Super Mario Bros. U (haven't played yet);
- two packs of popcorn;
- a giant bag of chips;
- a tin of chocolates.
I expect plenty of clothes and/or gift cards from the big family, but considering how much I already opened early, I was pleasantly surprised by the snacks.
On the one hand, I find this depiction of the Villager kinda cute and clever, depending on the artist; on the other hand, I really hate it, because that's the same face I have for my own character and I dislike associating my in-game character with that stuff.
Speaking of New Leaf, would it be fine to post trade requests in this thread for the few that own the game? Now that Streetpass lets you share your HRA score, I've been going crazy with remodeling, and the general tendency has been that I've gotten every piece of a set that I want except for one.
Yep, PM times, and I also just started Night Owl a few days ago so it's gonna last until midnight (ie, 11.5 hours from now).
I only bought 6000 turnips this week because I had a lot of Balloon stuff in storage I hadn't gotten rid of yet, it's kinda depressing I won't be able to profit as much from this.
Originally posted by MM200Storage is full of balloons? Never had that problem, nope. After about two items or so I ended up taking them all to Re-Tail and just letting the villagers have at them. (Too bad I only recently started selling at not-base-price)
I've already managed to reach the 150 000 HRA points, as well as the 1.1 million in the theme challenge, by using two rooms full of Balloon and Nintendo/Mario stuff, so yes, I had a lot of stuff. I've since moved most of it to a room in the museum (two for gyroids, one for island stuff) and one or two pages in my storage, though. (I don't intend to use pack mules in my town.)
And yeah, I suppose I can just leave up my FC here (maybe we could list them in the first post?).
2878-9960-1322, and if you wanna come over now I can just open up my gates while I do my morning shopping, I guess.
(Already added the three of you, by the way.)
Unrelated, but as per probability, there's a few furniture series for which I'm only missing one or two pieces, but which I've been fairly unlucky about, even after playing with campers for two days straight. Does anyone have a Sleek Closet, Green Dresser, Green Table or Bath Mat I could catalog?
To anyone else coming, if you don't have a Silver Shovel/Net/Rod yet from your Museum, I left one of each for people to take. Already have my own and they pop up randomly, so...
Feel free to buy one of the fossils in my Re-Tail if you don't have it, either.
Okay, so that's MM200, Sanky, Zhorken and Eppy already; I'll reopen later for Xk and whoever else when you ask.
Now that they added badges that people you Streetpass/play with can see, I've been fairly obsessed with collecting them all. Can't imagine getting the "Streetpass 1000 times" one, but I've been using a giant Excel sheet to track what I own in my catalog (gold one is 80% completion...), and there's always the random stuff like "save 100 million bells", "buy/sell 10 million in turnips", "visit 500 Dream Towns" (that's 250k bells, yeah), etc.
To add on to that, there's an in-game mechanic in New Leaf that reinforces one type of playing. The main tree in the plaza grows with time, and every milestone is n days and n hours played in total, which would imply that you should play about an hour a day.
It's definitely meant to be a relaxing game for pick-up-and-play in small portions during the day, though there's nothing stopping you from playing for hours on end, which can be necessary with gigantic town renovations you could want, such as reorganizing hundreds of flowers and trees, designing and placing murals/paths around your town, etc.
It's also worth mentioning that the multiplayer just keeps on getting improved every game. The Gamecube one needed two memory cards (so separate files), and you couldn't play at the same time; the DS one let you play with friends, either locally or online (though using the infamous game-only Friend Codes); the Wii one, while (I think) still using game-specific FCs, let you use the Wii Speak to talk online. Now the 3DS (which has system-wide Friend Codes, mind you) lets you add friends you already have that own the game to the Best Friends list so that (if you're both playing at once) you can chat in-game, in addition to adding the multiplayer-centric minigame Tortimer Island.
For anyone already with the game, I've been trying to get all the medals, and one of them is to catalog 80% of all items. To that effect, if you need some orderable things, I'll likely be able to get you most of them. It's worth noting that K.K. songs are now orderable, so...
So how's everyone's houses coming along? I feel like I'm at a point where I can really be proud of my home, and the only things that could really improve it aren't easily obtainable, so...
Main room has two copies of the Green series (mirrored): one half modified with emeralds, one half vanilla (to be orderable in HHA). Three of my rooms are purely green/red/yellow for Feng Shui purposes, so half-on-screen here are a few dozen green hats/accessories on tables.
The left room is gonna be a Golden room, but I only have a few pieces of the series; to fill in space, I put in the only other yellow series, ie. Regal series, plus a few other pure yellow things (preferably antique) for Feng Shui. The Phonograph tends to play K.K. Ragtime, though I might get a more Egyptian-sounding song later.
The right room is a modified Sleek room, to be full red for Feng Shui. Off-screen are a few guitars, and overall the room also doubles as a nice lounge/relaxing area. Song plays either K.K. Bossa or K.K. Moody depending on the mood.
The back room is my music room, and I'm only missing one instrument! If anyone gets a Sanshin from Club Tortimr, could they give me one? Still need Saharah to give me the Music Room rug and wall, but what I have now still fits pretty well.
Finally, the upstairs room is a plantlife room. A friend of mine traded a lot for other-region DLC, which is where the (orderable) Leaf Bed and Tree-Stump Chair come from, and pretty much all the plants in there were ordered from the HHA because they don't appear in the Timmy n' Tommy shops. I put Pikmin stuff because why not, and I feel like the Insect series fits well so they're almost all there too. (Anyone have an extra Honeybee Chest or Cicada Stereo?) I'll probably put Forest Life on once I get the stereo.
I took a few shots of every room if you wanna see everything in each room, so here's the full album. Basement's not included because it's, quite literally, a dump right now. I already got all the rewards but I'm pretty proud that the HRA rates my home at around 252 000~
I haven't gotten out of the house very much recently, but I still haven't encountered anyone who bothered to buy the new Streetpass games. ...Doesn't matter, I've been highly enjoying the games.
Monster Manor is a puzzle-action game, I guess; kinda fun, but I only pass my brother, and having only one color for puzzle pieces means you can't really get into battles and get experience, so it's been mildly boring for me.
Warrior's Way disguises a mildly complex rock-paper-scissors game as a Sengoku-era "take over the world" game. Pretty fun, honestly, but without Streetpassing a lot of people you need to pay a lot of Play Coins just to build up your army, so I haven't really done much.
Flower Town is a relaxing "grow different flowers" game, with kinda complex crossbreeding, taking into account the parent flowers for their seeds, etc. I really like the game, probably spent over 300 play coins on it already, but it's just so pretty!
Mii Force is a space shooter game where the people you Streetpass become your ship's weapons. It's really fun! One Streetpass/two Play Coins means you have three chances at a level, so if you're good at shmups you can progress pretty quickly. I'm three levels away from the ending and the difficulty really ramps up, and once you beat it
Pikmin 3 just came out in America (it's been at least a week elsewhere), but I heard there's a bundle for both P3 and the deluxe WiiU, which sounds good.
Other gems include Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (I have the 3DS version but it's still damn great), and if you have lots of get-togethers then Nintendo Land could be fun - I've certainly enjoyed the Animal Crossing and Mario games at family gatherings. There's also Sonic Racing Transformed, if you like racing games; I hear it's actually pretty hard but pretty fun.
Also keep in mind that it can still play Wii games, if you don't have one already.
Gracie visited a while ago and asked to see me dress in Rock-'n-Roll style, so I decided to wholly change my image.
Before I leave for a 'con this next week-end, I'm looking to complete some sets and get some otherwise rare items in my home for people to buy from the HHA when I streetpass them.
Would anyone happen to have catalogged a...
- Corn plant
- Croton
- Mugho bonsai - Quince bonsai
- Tall cactus - Sphinx
- K.K. Island
- K.K. Stroll
...for me to catalog? I'm especially looking for the bolded ones because they'd each complete the pine bonsai/cactus sets for my main Green room.
