As for the M64Geometry file... it's an annoyance to be sure, and will be frustrating, but then, it's also nothing more than an annoyance, and won't cause TT64 to loose any sort of functionality. Besides, it may ultimately be for the better, as SM64 hacking progresses and geometry editing becomes increasingly common. |

First however, he must get used to the new version of director, and solve some issues involving plugins which aren't director-11 compatible. That, and VL-tone is busy. |

| Excuse me in the following post- I don't really know what I'm talking about, only a general sense which I've received by reading the post's of others on this forum. In the TT64 suggestions thread, the following feature has been requested multiple times: a feature to implement gameshark codes directly into a hack. VL-tone has replied that this is not possible, as gameshark modifies a game's ram, not the game itself. But as time continues to pass, more and more is being accomplished with gameshark. Yoshiman has created many, many interesting codes- including one to ride yoshi! These would open great possibilities for a hack. As the community continues to discover more about SM64, is it now time to reconsider the possibility of implementing of gameshark codes directly into a hack? No doubt it's possible; we just need to figure out what commands the ROM uses to change the RAM in-game. |

| With the communites' current knowledge of the game, is it possible to, using a hex editor, change the song used during the intro. (When you start the game on a new file) I ask because I want to remove Peach's voice. In the original game (as I'm sure most of you know) Princess Peach reads the letter she wrote out loud. Thus, if you edit the message using text editor, the message will say one thing, and Peach will say something different. For that reason, I'd like to remove Peach's voice all together, and the most logical way to do this would be to edit the music track used. I know this can be done with a hex editor, but is it currently known how? |

| Oh thanks messian! It worked! BTW I managed to stop the emulator from giving the error as well, but I forgot exactly how I fixed it . I remember that you need to start a few bytes after 581350, though. |

Why did you delete the file from sendspace ![]() I know you released a new version of your platform battlefield, but I'd very much like to use flat lethal lava land... |

| Why not release the source code then? Maybe someone else will continue the project. |

| Messiaen, Rather than try to fix up the tile map editor so that it's suitable for Yo-Noid, perhaps you could expand on the idea of a multi-game level editor and make the tile map editor somewhat more user friendly. (For example, I'd certainly enjoy using such an editor, even if the game capability is very low. However, I have no idea how to do that stuff you discuss in the first post in order to make the editor work) |

| Play Stranded. It is by far the best SMW hack I've ever played, and I've played a lot. |

| You know, I was reading through this thread, and I was thinking to myself "As soon as I finish reading the posts in this thread (Because it's generally a very bad to post after only reading some of what others said on the topic) I'm going to say that Mega-Mario really shouldn't have been banned. Everyone has their bad days, and while his may have been particularly bad, I think that we often are slightly too quick to ban people on this forum. ...Of course, this a perfect example of why it's generally a very bad to post after only reading some of what others said on the topic. I have little patience for people who re-register to get past a ban. Not to mention the fact that the number of times he re-registered shows he was having more of a "bad week" then he was a "bad day". That being said, Mega-Mario IS writing a NSMB editor, and although I hate to say we should give more chances to "experienced" hackers... we know that he's a real programmer, not just some random nobody who registers and starts spamming. And we know his editor is real- yes, screenshots can be faked, but I don't think these are, and besides, Mega-Mario has sent beta's of his editor to people for them to test. To sum things up, I think Mega-Mario should be unbanned. He's writing an editor, and while it may be unfair to give him more chances than one would to experienced hackers, I think the creation of a level editor is reason enouph to un-ban him (not to mention that life isn't fair). And to Mega-Mario: You're smart enouph to write a NSMB editor, I KNOW your smart enouph to post on a forum. Don't post garbage, and don't re-register. It gets you nowhere. And DON'T say you never re-registered; if you do, this will be the last time I stand up for you. P.S. It's events like this that cause people like Treeki to leave, y'know. |

| Hm... the first thing that comes to my mind when I watch that is cape/leaf Mario. Maybe cape Mario, or at least his movements, was in the beta, but then the power up was taken out in favor of more SMB1 style game play... |

| I think the cape might have caused air residence. It would force Mario to take long strides against the wind. The other possibility I can think of, aside from "moon mode" as Shantae pointed out, is some sort of underwater area. The reason the cape gets me though is the way Mario keeps his arms held out to the side of him. |

| Wow. At my old school, the computers had NO restrictions. People could do whatever they wanted. There was, however, a contract that all students who wished to use the computers had to sign which said that students couldn't mess up the computers or go to inappropriate websites. It was a good system; no annoying security, but no worries for the teachers. Of course, this only worked because that was a very small private school (my grade had only 3 kids in it) where the students were trustworthy. |

| Great job everyone who made this game. It's fun. I'm purely curious: do you think it would work on actual N64 hardware? |
