Somebody managed to figure out how to dig into the graphics of MK1 and MK2.

It's spread out over a couple of pages. If I get some time later I'll add in the highlight things of note. I tried sending this guy a PM since I've had an account over on that site since back in the days when it was mk5.org, but I have yet to hear back from him (mostly because I just sent the PM today).

If he knows how to dig through the graphics, then this ought to get really, really interesting, if these pieces are any indication.

Did anything every come of this? I'm looking for a way to view/extract images from the original Mortal Kombat arcade romset.

As stated before this is the release. After conversion to binary it matches the common dump that is out there. I remember playing this back in 1994 when it was released.
