I think VLC for Linux is better than VLC for Windows. I just installed gentoo this past week and VLC works great, unlike Media Player
But yeah, my VLC experience for Windows isn't very good. Personally, for windows, I like media player classic better as the alternative to Windows Media Player. My only gripe is it doesn't cleanly convert 720 x 480 to full screen correctly like Windows Media Player. |

For a state like California, I would think we'd be closer to the top for such a list. But it is down at 38 or something  With places like Oakland, Richmond, and certain parts of LA, wouldn't that weigh a lot? |

It's functional, sure, though.  I mean... it does what it's supposed to do.
If I were to take it more seriously, I'd want somebody to help me refine the code, I'd not like to create unnecessarily bloated stuff for example just because I am awkward at it all; I'd like to learn properly.
With respect to programming, if you take a course on Data Structures that covers running time, then you'll know whether or not you are programming efficiency. Of all the courses I took as a computer science major, I consider that course to be one of the most important course I took. I got introduced to the notion of running time using Data Structures and Algorithms in Java by Goodrich and Tamassia. If you do not get caught up on the details of Java, it should serve you well in terms of getting your feet wet.
In terms of learning on my own, it is how I feel a lot of the time in dental school. My professors are helpful, when they are there. But I feel a majority of my skill isn't really refined without it. I wonder if med students are in the same predicament. |

A financial aid advisor told me that this Starbucks latte that cost me $3.50 right now will cost me $15 dollars when I start paying back my loans. So yeah, food for thought.
Anyways, I am fairly good about my spending, except when I splurge. I spent almost $600 on a Wii, some Wii accessories, and 6 games. Since I was using financial aid money, it will cost me $900 when I finish paying the money back |

It is all a technicality. Man's (no pun intended) need to classify things led us to the predicament we are in. If we didn't have a need to classify, then this scenario is a moot point.
