UNIX i use gzip
Windows, i use ZIP because sending to ZIP file is easier than selecting options for raring; plus, i have a class of average computers who some of which do not know computers can be customized outside of what is in their OS

So educate the morons.

Not to be stereotypical, but how do you educate a lot of biology majors?

I have a Sempron2800 with a Geforce 6600GT video card and 1GB of RAM. Do I need better hardware to play HD Video files? If I can solve the solution with software, what software would I need? One HD video I want to watch has a bitrate of about 10,000kbps and a pixel aspect ratio of 16:9.

The video file plays much slower than the audio using Windows Media Player and VLC plays the video very choppy. I guess I'll just have to wait for starcraft 2 to come out before I get a system that will play HD video without trouble. (I'm planning to buy a new computer when SC2 is released since my current desktop specs have no shot at playing that game)

Posted on 03-05-08 05:45:39 AM, in Command-line utils to convert DVD to AVI Link
So, my professor has a ton of demonstration videos that would be very useful for my dental class, but they are on DVD discs. I need to come up with an very easy solution to convert these DVD discs into AVI files so I figure using command-line utils should do the trick, unless there is a robust open-source all-in-1 solution. I tried using DVDx but that program craps out because of the way the DVD is encoded.

That's awful. Do you have anything to pass the time? Listening to music player? Having your NDS? Anything? Statewide-testing sucks. I'm glad I don't have to take that anymore.

You had her in your layout! You didn't watch the show?

Maybe he thought she was cute? There are a lot of interesting anime characters out there but I have no means to find the anime they are associated with.

If it's Cingular, power down, power up.

Sprint and related are automatic.

I have a Sprint phone. It wasn't until later in the day did the time change get reflected. I wonder if I need to lose signal first before it resynchronizes the time.
