If you do not safely eject a flash drive, you run the risk of losing files.
So, when the emulator froze, what did he do? Did he restart the computer? Try to pull out the flash drive and try again? Has this happened again? It should just be a fluke and what I like to call, "a random act of God". |

I wonder if insurance companies will now use this as a factor of how much someone is worth You know, punitive damanges are calculated based on the estimated amount of money someone would earn over their lifetime. It seems that this will be an easier way to do it. |

Kas, you are the person I should be. If you are a programmer, the big plus for OSX is its integration with UNIX. I can't program in Windows unless I have Cygwin. Even then, Cygwin has major shortcomings. Virtualization software is more than enough if you are a non-gaming developer.
One of the things holding me back is that I don't like Office for Mac because all the keyboard shortcuts I know for Office for Windows do not translate for Office for Mac. It is a shame that is the case. I find it funny that for the same product, Microsoft designed it differently for both operating systems. |

Originally posted by Tarale Well, I am sort of happy I have a garden—my old place had nothing but concrete. But my problem is that I don't know what to DO with the garden. I've never really done much gardening before.
The landlord planted some stuff just before I moved in. I think they're fairly hardy little plants, they don't seem to need much water (which is good), but I'm not real good with the rest of things, like weeding, and pruning and all of that.
I guess I'll work it out. At the moment it is looking a lot better now I pulled a bunch of stuff out.
There are lots of books of gardening. Just stop by a bookstore or a library with a large collection of gardening books and just look through what you need to do. Gardening isn't an innate thing to many people. It is an acquired skill. I'm sure if you edumacate yourself, you will learn gardening to the point where you can get something to grow for some period of time |

Someone did this while the professor was lecturing. Within 5 minutes after the professor was done lecturing, this was shown on all the screens of the lab. The heads are all my professors from one course I have. Yes, one of them is the professor who was lecturing.

Yeah? You don't say.
(all this so I could use...a font editor. fasdfhkgfasgfaghahgfh.)
No, that is more the file system that is used. Even on UNIX systems, it has similar usage if you have blocks that big. If you shrink block allocation size, less waste is there. It is why cygwin on my computer right now sits on a disk with 1KB block size and it is in its compressed folder on another computer.
Have you looked in the windows/system32 folder? |

Take a look at what is inside cygwin/lib; the lib folder is unix's version of windows/system32 |

| Scenario is I am not logged in and I try to create a poll. When I change the number of items, the resulting refresh loses the username and password I enter. Is this an already reported bug? |

| This program is the shiznit. I am controlling my desktop using my laptop's keyboard and mouse without using remote desktop and whatnot. It is awesome that I can be on my bed right now and control my desktop that is 4 feet away. My desktop holds 90% of the music I have and I have awesome speakers connected to it. |

These people are in the same population as the people who spread chain letters and email viruses.
I wonder how long it will be until we have a bash facebook comment.
Also, somehow I am IP banned from my home computer. So, I'm posting through my former university computer -- fixed by Xkeeper
Xkeeper here! I removed a huge, pointless quote. |

Yeah, I see a bus stop ad of the movie and they look freaky. *shivers*
In Japan, to promote the movie, they had alvin and co remix a few songs of a popular japanese music group. You can look at the torrent. |

Yeah, I use both my laptop and my desktop significantly. So, that is why such a program is heaven for me.
But yeah, if you have just a desktop, then a wireless keyboard/mouse is more useful. |

I've been up for almost 20 hours already. I would have gone to sleep about 6 or so hours before if I hadn't watched anime when I got home at 1am
I hate it when this happens, but I just couldn't stop....
But I guess I rather be sleepless due to doing something fun than for doing homework |

Also, it is important to mention that if you watch cable or satellite TV right now, you have nothing to worry about.
The analog to digitial TV conversion only effects people who get TV over the air using rabbit air antennaes or one of those rooftop directional antennae. |

Actually, neo, they sell HD rabbit ears and rooftop antennae. Have for over two years now. Old-style UHF/VHF ones, though, yea.
Yeah, it is said that such antennae will pick up digital signals after the conversion, but the TV won't be able to process the digital signal. Thus, you should pay attention if that is how you pick up TV right now. I just want to point out that if you pay for cable or satellite TV, there is no need to upgrade your TV or worry about buying a digital-to-analog converter.
I remember in high school, many of my classmates didn't know the difference between cable/satellite and over the air TV.
