My diet has gone down the toilet as of late, eating nothing but ramen and taco bell supreme tacos  The only remnant of my great diet is the occassional banana or apple I would use as a snack, otherwise it is pringles or shrimp flavored chips 
so, yeah no breakfast and a pathetic excuse of a meal  |

Streaming Video Games
A paradigm shift in the making? I'm kind of apprehensive about this. I am attached the idea that a game I buy now, I would want to play 20 years down the road. It is nice for hardware standardization and lowered development costs but *shrug* |

And this is on windows?  wow...i mean i run firefox on two different windows installations and they end up the same way. The only plugin I have is firebug. interesting. |

Hmm...I have a Quadcore with 4GiB of ram, but my lappy is Core2Duo with 2GiB of ram with the same consumption...weird
But yeah, as for tabs, I was sad how the gurus at Firefox moved the omnipotent closing tab button on to individual tabs in the change from 1.5 to 2. Makes me wonder, if there is a way to move it back? |

| Calculus makes a difference in graphics programming (surface representation) and algorithm efficiency (the notion of limits). Outside of that, I have no idea. At any level of programming not for something computational, you never see it as far as I know, high or low level. But understanding limits is important, helps you justify why your algorithm or your approach to a problem is efficent. In graphics, you'd be amazed at how simple a teapot can be with just 32 bezier functions. That is why I think we need to learn calculus and why CS is favored over someone with a computer informational technology degree. |

| i think apple comes with a bunch of utilities on its setup CD? why don't you try running those. if even those programs do not work, then it is likely a hardware issue and probably need to stop by a genius bar or something. |

| dorms are hit or miss for some people--but it also depends on your own personality and the people around you. I have my own apartment in a complex with three other people and everyone around me is great. Yes, I have heard of nightmarish stories of those living in dorms. Perhaps, in some ways, living in a dorm is a crapshoot because you really do not know what kind of personalities you will get. If you are concerned with living with weirdos at first, then perhaps getting your own place initially is better. Once you make some friends, then you can move in together and save a little more money that way. |
