Well, yeah. You can only get it through "fluid transfer" (ie: sex, or if you have an open wound/cut/whatever and get the blood of an infected person on it, stuff like that).
But...how do you know that the people you interact with are not infected with the virus? Aren't most infections caused via transmissions by people not knowing they have it? |

FOX news had a segment on people's first initials and reported that people's first initial determined a whole bunch of things from success in school to tendency to strikeout in a baseball game.
I think it is a bunch of bull...what do you think? |

| When I was working for a software company this past summer, I had two 24" widescreen monitors. I think it was 1950 by 1200 for one monitor? So, two of them would allow for 2400 by 1950 if these two monitors were oriented vertically. |

Facebook is much smaller than MySpace and the other social networking site. Being added to a network is a way Facebook uses to protect privacy. Your MySpace profile can be viewed by anyone in its full glory. So, if someone were to stalk you on Facebook, people would have an idea of where this person is to begin with, for the most part.
*shrugs* I don't like MySpace because it is impossible to find anyone and seems a too cliche place. However, Facebook is starting to grow into MySpace too

Yeah, someone accidentally pushed the red button on the time machine, so we all got caught in a time warpTM.
Why does the button have to be red? why couldn't it be green? or blue or something? |

It helps in keeping touch with people you don't talk to every day and to see what they are up to every now and then. |

You can use this Java FTP Connection class. I'm sure there are other ones for other languages, probably more scripting ones like python.
Then, you can probably make it into a windows service. |

I used wikipedia to find a good version for me. I have ubuntu installed in vmware on this laptop (rarely used unless I am in boring lecture).
I have gentoo installed on VMware on my desktop for mysql stuff. It is a pain to get mysql for windows working on XP and I failed miserably.
I am starting to experiment with OSX for development work. I can't stand windows to do any development work. UNIX has many nice tools for me to use so I am glad Cygwin exists. Other than development work, Windows suits me nicely in terms of media, games, and homework. |

Do you have anything that works as expected? Besides Nintendo branded things?
I have an HP Officejet (Laserjet?) 3100. It used to pull in multiple sheets at once. However, HP issued a fix for it. I installed it and it rarely pulls in multiple sheets. With the exception of the fact that the printer only works for Windows 98/2k because of required installation of software, the printer has worked wonderfully. |

I would get a Mac but after looking at one (yesterday actually, at my uncle's house) it's rather lacking in a few areas like multi-button mice (although he had a version that was a few years old, it might be better now).
Linux is just .
You can use multi-button mice with OSX, I believe.
The right mouse-button on my Dell gives me the right click menu. Yes, my dell boots OSX from a USB laptop drive. |

Originally posted by asdf How about you make a code that, when activated, prompts all users on the board to change their password? People will not be able to continue past that screen and view any part of the boards when logged into their account until they have done so. It would be highly effective in the event that everything hits the fan.
Presumably, code should also be added to prevent the password being reverted to the compromised password after some period of time. |
