| So, I met a guy on a forum, with a special thread for discussion of the RC car racing game, re-volt, and he said he has a "source" for re-volt. I don't have the download link yet, but in a few minutes, it'll be up for you guys to dissect and explore! this is gonna be big, people!
EDIT: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/60683690/rvsource.zip HERE IT IS! |

| they were going to release re-volt on the xbox, but it didn't work out. And if you manage to figure out how to open that file format, you gotta put what that file is on the page for this, as unfortunately, i think it was a internal file format, meaning someone would have to make something to open it.
EDIT: Nevermind what i said before about the ncp files, they're collision models you can convert back into the games model format (.prm), which you can then open with Zmodeller and save as an .obj. |

| I have the JJ3 Proto, if anyone wants me to upload it so they can root around in it, I'm no good with Unreal engine modding. |

| And if I did rip it, I don't know how to convert it to something I can listen to on a PC. Can you guys offer any help? And I don't know how I'd rip an unused song either, because All I know how to do is an SPC rip that's built into the emulator.
EDIT: I found the unused song and made a page. |

| In particular, music you'll never hear in game. I want to rip a possible unused track from Battle Cars and I don't know where else to ask besides you guys here in the ROM Hacking forum. Any help? |

| Yeah, sorry, I forgot to mention that I already know how to do that. What I need to know is how to rip a music sequence that's never loaded (as far as I know) and play it back as it would sound on the SNES. |

Alright, thanks. I have no idea how to do that either but I'll learn now, I guess.

| I have two versions of a prototype of Re-volt from Acclaim, as well as a proto of Unreal Championship 3 for Xbox. Anyone interested? |

| I've looked through them with hex editors and found that the game uses TGA files for textures, but neither dragonunpacker nor Game Extractor can get anything from them. Any help you guys can offer is appreciated. |

Absolutely. I'll give you the one for the Cars, since that's really what anyone would want out of this game anyways.
Cars: http://www.filedropper.com/hwcars Sorry for the late reply, Filesmelt was being difficult so I had to use a different site. |

| Oops, just realised you wanted multiple. I've uploaded all the rest of the major ones (Besides the tracks at least) in one file, minus Cars and Music.

| I do remember though that I looked in the cars.xpc with a hex editor, and I saw the textures were TGA. is that any help at all? |

| Does it help at all that when I search the output files with Dragon Unpacker 5's Hyperripper, it gives me an MP1 file? |

| at offset 0010D630, there's "wheel.tga", at offset 195040 there's "twinmill256v8-nm.tga"... just Ctrl-F for "Tga", you'll find a lot. |

| oops, that's entirely not what you asked. the MP1 didn't have it's internal name as Hyperripper doesn't work that way. it just comes out as "filename001.file". |

| So, I've been playing around with ROM corruption lately, finding some interesting glitches, but this is by far the oddest thing I've found. I was corrupting Metal Head for the Sega 32x, and the intro screen changed. However, it looks oddly non-glitched, and it even has the Sega scream from Sonic as opposed to the normal one.
Here's a comparison: Normal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cExm6Zp4mPY Corrupted: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7n9rLhvduZ4 Is this a bizzare glitch, or did I accidentally uncover an unused intro? |

| I just tested what xdaniel said about the NTSC ROM on a Japanese Megadrive, and that's exactly right, it gave me the other rainbow intro. |
