| Don't work however... I don't understand... Perhaps Gold and Silver have another routine for the invalid pokémons? I tried also to change the instructions to go to .egg in all three cases instead of .not_pokemon but nothing change... |

Cruis'n Italy hacking Cruis'n Exotica.
But first need to be finished, is an half porting, have to be restored the missing trophy girl at the finish line (is currently in a different menu and isn't right), the missing starting girl, the missing GIB routine, the wildlife animation, the musics table have to be fixed with the all in the game and have to be not longer random when you start a race, restore the car reflection as example when you enter in the tunnel, the crowd at the finish line have to be inserted... This to do it without any silly censorship, but someone know how hack the race tracks? XD |

There is a way? The porting was incomplete due to the closer issues, I added the missing songs in the rom without erase nothing, but unfortunately I don't know how extend the available songs switch during the races and in the sound test menu, then I changed the pointers to 3 existing songs to the new added offsets, but now 3 pre-existing songs are unavailable to ear the added, 'cause the same table point to the new added, there is a way to add 3 more available musics during the race and optionally 5 more available musics in the sound test?
And there is another issue, in the Cruis'n franchise every race track have it's own default OST.
In this unfinished porting when a race starts a random music is loaded every time, randomly.
There is a way to set a specific music?
These are the pointers to the visible song's names during the race:
50b71 = Pointer name Get funky
50b75 = Pointer name Speed loop
50b79 = Pointer name Funky sea
50b7d = pointer name booty shaker
50b81 = Pointer name Fierce rave
50b85 = Pointer name Caribbean
The pointers to the audio files are shared by race switch (where are currently 6 available) and sound test menu, where are currently 10 and starts here:
Are made by pointers to during time, audio files, predictors and the end of the bytes for each one.
The first four musics are the menu musics, at 0x4EAF0 actually starts the available musics during the races.
However all these musics are in the sound test menu. I want to add at least 4 (but 5 will be better) in the sound test and 2 (better 3) in the race menu.
Could you help me please? |

New changes for the (U) Cruis'n World! Thanks to SubDrag!
-Fixed the invisible plants Eurocom bug in the China shortcuts!
-Fixed also the Gimpee car logo!
-Arcade original blue sky for every track in the Cruise The World mode except for the Moon!
-Arcade original musics for Germany, England, KenyAfrica and Egypt! The Moon change the music to Shifter, the Germany music according to the Eurocom, according to me instead with it's "galactic" notes is more appropriate for the Moon!

I converted Rage candy and Slowpoké tail to regular countable items, but now that aren't longer key items, they became giveable items and this is wrong to avoid compatibility issues with games where they don't exist.
Kurt's balls are added HG/SS items too, but they are added also to a special table I think, that make ungiveable some countable items. In this table there are also the Sport and Park ball. They could be hacked and moved also to another bag pocket and converted to medicine or other item type, and remain however ungiveable, then this table isn't an exclusive for the balls. I need only of find it or however the way to replace Sport Ball and Park Ball in this table, to fix the issue.
Please, someone know how to do this? Maybe trough a debugger? I don't know how use it... |

Hello, I want to hack the N64 rom of Cruis'n Exotica, to make it more similar to the arcade version, I want to extract subfiles from the rom to verify if have unused missing content, like as example the 4 missing drivers voices, that I found into the rom with the SubDrag's sound tool.
Cruis'n World had the EDL1 compression, but was developed by Eurocom, Cruis'n Exotica by Gratuitous games, someone could help me please? |

| I want to find the table or the asm that determines which items can't be held by a pokémon like the apricorn balls I want to replace 2 entries in this list, but I'm not able to find this table, I tried also to edit the itemdata narc without success. Someone could please help me? I need only of find the table or the asm, I need only of change an hex value. |

I want to thank Mateo, Miksy91 and Rangi for the great help with script, game structure etc, FroggerSpirit for the GB CLASSIC musics, Koolboyman and Sanqui for the ????? re-use and maybe someone else that now I miss, for this work hard, very hard, but who cares, I'm very satisfied!
I did this work exclusively in binary mode using the disassembly only like an explanation for the routines and the offset which I needed.
Why? 'Cause I did this work for the 3 roms in both languages, english for international players and italian 'cause I'm italian and I wanted to give this hack also to my italian "brothers". XD XD XD And for me obviously, I love english, but I love also my words.
In the archive link you will find the patches for Pokémon Gold, Silver, Crystal and Oro, Argento and Cristallo, that are the italian roms. You can use only the english patches obviously.
I made this work in 6 different roms, I don't know if there are bug or glitches, if I mistaken something tell me and I'll fix it.

Hi. I found the slots overlay file in Japanese HG/SS, is overlay_0077, but inserting it into the US version don't work, the game crash. I tried to insert it replacing the Voltorb filp overlay file (Overlay_0122), 'cause the script command is the same in US and J versions, and overlay_0077 in US version is only a placeholder, a dummy file of 20 bytes.
The pointer to the slot machines texts group have to be updated to work with the US rom versions, 'cause in (J) version the text group is the number 429 (0x01AD) in the US versions also if is blank is the number 436. Is at the offsets:
0xA48 (uncompressed overlay_0077 file)
0x7A6 (compress overlay_0077 file)
I verified changing it in the J version, where the overlay file works.
I found also the graphic file, is cleared but isn't a problem, I can replace the J graphic file with the censored and the code still works however, however is stored in A/1/2/7 file.
I don't know why the Overlay_0077 file can't works in the U version, maybe have to be updated like the texts to right other resources file in the rom. Someone could know how repair it? And maybe (also if this is harder) link it to dummy script commands to keep both Voltorb flip and Slots minigames? Overlay_0077 is however existing in the US version and can be replaced trough NitroExplorer, but I don't know if there are script commands linked, I know only that there are a lot that do the same black screen/return to the game function.
However the major thing to do will be repair the Overlay file, Voltorb Flip isn't so important, I'll prefer replace it if necessary to restore the slots.
I found the script command link (I think) in the ARM9 file, I can change the value 0x7A (Voltorb flip 122 overlay file) to 0x4D (Overlay 77 slot file) and then the game crash when have to load the Voltorb flip... I think is the right place where force the game to load Overlay_0077 instead of 122, but the code is certainly incompatible (yet) with US roms.
Someone could fix it please? |

Link updated with new patches to obtain a legit Pokétransfer GF MEW and in Crystal to pass trough the Pokétransfer MEWTWO return to the 70 level, simply to the seer you'll can't view any MEWTWO's caught data to avoid a glitch.
Now all the added available pokémons will can pass trough the official transfer, except for the ODD EGGS, but I untouched them, maybe GF made them cheat 'cause in japanese version you can't longer obtain them. I think can't pass due to DIZZY PUNCH, if you erase the move will pass. |
