Not is easy, if is uncompressed you can use Crystal tile, but you have to find the canvas dimensions, the type of the images, not is simple...

... is that it? you know, I think save state compatibility with this tool would be very useful as well.

I don't know if is possible... But you can help yourself with the Project 64 mod textures exporting, the dimension of the extracted textures is the same into the game.

Hello, need help to set the right music into the Redwood Forest track, it's a background music, in the arcade version the track have the music "Surfari Monster" when the track starts, in the N64 version have the "Redline shuffle" music and it's wrong. The music exists into the rom and is easy accesible, if you press the radio button can you set it like the other musics, but not is default set correctly. Can you help me to set the right music into the Redwood forest track please?

There is a way to create a GBA rom for this tool that (if into a GBA flash card) can be linked with both GEN II and GEN III games? A GBA rom that can stores up to 100 Pokémon and that can trade with GEN III games but can transfer pokémon form GEN II games, is possible?

And that's the basis of my idea for a device. It runs a 32-bit GBA program given a flash chip to store the ROM data, and instead of mapping the 8-bit I/O lines to a save chip like most games do, it will actually have another, rewired cartridge slot for accessing 8-bit cartridges. This will make it very possible to communicate between generations, even so far as to backing up or transferring Pokémon from the 8-bit games.

Will be wonderful.

For the question about restoring the missing ROADKILL feature I have found the ASCII TEXT STRING with the hex editor, that says: "RK SECT NOT VISIBLE" at the offset h5EAA0 (PAL E version) and in opinion of my friend this routine starts at the beginning of the rom when played. RK maybe is for RoadKill... Can you help me please with a debugger?

ROADKILL is a feature that can be turned off in the arcade, the deer and the cow disappear totally. And in the censored N64 version are totally missing like in the turned off function. Rumors say that the game was complete before the release and that Nintendo have delayed the release by 2 months for censor it. Maybe the routine "RK SECT NOT VISIBLE" (that seems to start at the beginning of the rom) turn off the function. Would be helpful discover it, I need someone that can have debugging experience for prove it and fix the censorship.

Right, I've done the romc compression for my hacked Cruis'n USA with the uncensored pope girl and works perfectly, but only in its own original WAD. However is a good choice use Virtual console extractor, with that tool you can also extract all the files in the WAD channel and delete the t1 files that cut out some features by the original game (in Cruis'n USA the t1 files cutted out the Hollywood giant words in Beverly Hills and the logos from the cars)

However there is a WAD channel that is compatible with the injection of Cruis'n World or Exotica?

Joe please can you help me? I need of change a texture palette into Cruis'n World (Nintendo 64), the textures is this

I've found it, is in the 16DFC0.bin file extracted by EDL uncompressor, the palette is at the first byte of the uncompressed file, but can't be replaced currently, 'cause EDL compressor compress the file but is more larger by the original, also if I re-compress the untouched 16DFC0 original file. What I can do for compress correctly my custom file?

SOLVED, imported uncompressed file and repointed, works correctly!

N64 Cruis'n World more closer to the arcade version!
IMAGES:

Same car, same elapsed time, different race position. Little Eurocom's cheats...

Before hacking every obstacles (also a low bush) was like a frontal accident with another car. Now can bend, like in the arcade.

Starting girl is better with her real arcade color and a more visibile smile

5 original arcade costumes for the trophy girl are better than only 1, right?

BASE ROM: Cruis'n World (U).

Italian-american collaborations with SubDrag hacker (Very thanks to him 'cause he made the bigger work) here is an improved Cruis'n World rom by a lot of reasons:

- Pure Cruise mode difficulty (not Championship) is now faithful to the real arcade version
- The trophy girl have all her random costumes like in the arcade
- Starting girl now have her original costume and a more visible smile
- Obstacles now are flatting like in the arcade, before hacking were like a traffic car, same effect for the race...
- Restored original arcade car, tracks and songs names!
- Arcade original blue sky for every track in the Cruise The World mode except for the Moon!
- Arcade original musics for Germany, England, KenyAfrica and Egypt! The Moon change the music to "Shifter"!
- Fixed the invisible plants Eurocom bug in the China shortcuts!

Unfortunately are present also few bugs for this function, some object that have to flat couldn't do correctly or couldn't bend totally, for your race the effect is the same but you'll see them remain in their position, like you trespass them, maybe the problem was that Eurocom not finished their animations...

Difficulty became altered due to the multipliers activated after every victory, 'til a maximum of 5-6 victories, step by step the rival cars became faster and not was possible clean them, now the game still load them in a new game with 5-6 victories, but if you lose the emulator and reload the savegame once will not reloaded again, and will not reloaded after new victories.

Cruis'n World have now a different feeling, more closer to the arcade version, but the project can't be considered finished, remains to do:
- Restore GIB routine copying the discovered beta leftovers for all animals and add 3 missing static animals
- Restore race vocal announces (impressed into the rom as sounds, but need ASM for set them)
- Restore Hawaii waterfalls
- Fix finish line coordinates (are too advanced)
- Improve the crowd at the finish line (have to be random)
- Restore fire in ATV turret when you press the trump and change ATV & Orca cars 3D models like arcade ones
- Improve flatting animations for objects that don't bend correctly
- Restore president ending

DONE!:
- Set for the Germany, Kenya, Egypt and England the original BGM
- Set original blue sky in every track (Except Moon) in Cruise mode & leave added only in Champsionship.

If someone would help can send me a mail to ema89acquario@live.it, priority goes to GIB and race announces, but every help is precious.

The european limits are for example that none obstacle can bend. In the U versione before hacking sunflowers and grass could bend, in the E version you pass trough, like the obstacles not programmed and hidden with the worse routine.

Cruis'n World will be arcade perfect when all tragets will be done, GIB routine and race announces are necessary for example.

Cruis'n USA was a poor port, very terrible to play in the original Nintendo 64 system, but was more faithful to the original, the only differences were the trophy girl, the GIB routine, the Hillary dollars and the ending with the president. And the error of the wrong music set in the Redwood forest. I've uncensored the trophy girl, the Hillary dollars and replaced the rom in the WII VC channel. Cruis'n USA gain a better feeling in the WII VC, are missing only the GIB routine and the president. I hope to fix this one day...

I have an idea:

Is possible create a Game cube game (played with a mod console) iso that could be linked with the original GEN II carts via NGC/GBA adaptor cable that could transfer the GEN II pokémons in the Pokémon BOX savegame?

I don't know deeply, however the idea could be working, an unofficial Game cube game loads the pokémon from GBC carts and migrate them in the game cube memory card in the Pokémon BOX block, then the migrated pokémon will be in the pokémon BOX savegame and ready to be moved to GBA games.

Then the creator needs of a comunication cable for start to develop the magic ISO?

Cruis'n USA remain stopped to the copyright boot credits. In the Project 64 is the same thing if I deselect the "Delay SI interrupt" option. There is a way to force Nemu64 to works with Cruis'n USA? Is the only way to asm hacking.
