So I'm currently in the process of digesting all the knowledge on the wiki. This is an amazing site!

I'd like to contribute information about the Dance Dance Revolution arcade glitchcharts, since it's not on the wiki yet!

This works on DDR Max2 and DDR Extreme. This does not work on any mix before DDR Max2. I'm not sure about any other mixes after DDR Extreme.

Starting with DDR Max2, there are a total of 5 step charts per song (Beginner, Light Standard, Heavy, Oni/Challenge), per game mode (Single, Double, Versus, etc.). Almost every song has the first 4 difficulties. Some have all 5, and others only have Oni/Challenge steps.

Through a fairly easy glitch (and some manipulation of most-played songs), you can force the game to choose step charts otherwise inaccessible! First, choose either Nonstop or Oni/Challenge mode. Then, press either left or right to select a different course. Finally, press the start button on the frame when the songlist changes. Alternatively, you can wait for the time to run out and time it just right, like in this video:

The way this glitch works is that the game loads the songlist *one frame before it loads the difficulties for those songs*! And you can press start before the game loads the correct difficulties!

Most of the stepcharts accessed this way do not exist, which will cause the game to crash (and reboot, if I recall correctly). Some songs have the Heavy stepchart duplicated for the Oni/Challenge stepchart. The video above shows the most interesting charts that exist.

For songs that only have Oni/Challenge steps, there is no in-game way to access their Beginner stepcharts, because there is no Nonstop Course or Oni/Challenge Course that has a song on Beginner difficulty.

Someone probably knows more than I do about this, but I hope this is enough to get an article added.
