Yup, that's right. He's dead. Now what?

(Edit: Whoops. Just noticed the mistake in the thread title. That's Kim Jong Il not II! Someone with admin/mod powers want to fix it to make us all appear less ignorant?)

I was just loudly making an observation. It doesn't really bother me too much. Although I do miss the unbelievably plain Jul banner. (Not sarcasm.)

I hope you're wrong, Ollllo, but what you're saying makes sense unfortunately.

Surprised no one has started this yet...

Alright... What'd you get for Christmas? (Or dispersed over the course of Hanukkah.) Also, what did you give, you selfish bastard?

I got:

- 25$ giftcard to Subway
- 25$ giftcard to Target
- 25$ giftcard to Newbury Comics
- 25$ giftcard to Wood N Tap
- Reeses Minis
- A can of Genesse Cream Ale
- Several books
- Two cat toys
- A t-shirt
- Socks

I gave:

- Two garden ornaments (frog and snail)
- Two six packs of Angry Orchard hard cider (original dry)
- Two dog toys, two packs of dog treats

I definitely got more than I gave. Karma frowns upon me.

I had grilled cheese for lunch today, too, except mine was filled with crumbled blue cheese and sautéed portobello mushrooms. It was pretty amazing. The mushrooms were sliced and sautéed in butter and seasoned with sea salt, black pepper, ground thyme and a little Worcestershire sauce to maximize the amazing umami flavor of the fungi. The result was the most savory grilled cheese sandwich ever. A treat I'll definitely have again soon.

Where's the turtle?

I must say, the good stuff is fantastic.

The last roast beef I had was neon red green and orange when held up to the light correctly...

Most prepaid phone companies suck. I used to work at RadioShack, and I'm every familiar with several prepaid phone companies. Transferring minutes on Net10 is a freaking nightmare. I had a customer who was trying to do it for almost two weeks coming into our store and calling Net10 on our phone before he got credited.

And Boost mobile's automated phone menu is designed to convince you to use their website. God forbid you need to do something the website can't.

Egg drop and won ton both have similar characteristics to chicken noodle soup. (Broth-wise.)

On an equally random note, check it out: GIS

Paulguy, I like your choice of colors for the vote options. If all options had equal votes it would sort of look like a slice of bacon. (Which is probably truly the best lunch meat, in retrospect.)

Don't worry Xenesis, it turns out that no one really knows what they are. (Although bologna resembles a giant hot dog that has been cut into thin, slimy slices which are probably floated down a manufacturing line suspended in water while being pushed along their way by workers' feet.)

I'd love to try roast venison in a sandwich, but for now I have to go with thinly sliced ribeye. Throw in some nice melted provolone cheese and some sautéed onions on an Amoroso roll and we're talking a wonderful taste of "brotherly love", cracked bell not included.

Whoah, whoah, whoah... I thought the question was what our favorite lunch meat was? If real meat was an option, wouldn't everyone have just chosen that? What makes "lunch meat" "lunch meat" is the plastic packaging and infusion of water, sometimes broth, and always preservatives. I'd rather cook a chicken (or steak as you suggest), cut it up, and put it on a sandwich any day than eat lunch meat. Lunch meat is about settling because you're broke, in a rush, or cheap. (Or because you are broke, in a rush, and cheap.)

So rephrased: Which is your least hated cold sliced processed meat substance?

Fell asleep last night to the first snowfall in Connecticut since October's storm that caused mass power outages. It's a little odd having the first Winter snowfall come so late. (Granted not quite as bizarre as a blizzard in October...)

Anyone else had strange weather patterns? (Or lack thereof.)
