So, my layout. Had it for awhile.

I've made some changes to it in the past few days, obviously, over a fair amount of time. I rerendered the outside to the left, making it much clearer but also slightly lighter than it was before, and because of that I had set my name as "unknown gender" to have it be more readable. The outside image is created through a slight hack, where I set negative margins on the table that makes up my layout, and that image, the border, and my normal background image are actually all part of the same image.

I've killed my sidebar text. Originally it was through the use of my custom title, but after I bemoaned the inability to drop the level bar, Inu stepped in and just gave me a custom sidebar with nothing in it. Thanks, Inu :3

After that, I changed it to using a shadow around my name text (provided you don't modify the page zoom too much) to make it readable with any gender setting. I accomplished THIS by drawing a transparency filter for the background image, with a background color of #080010. I played around with different alpha values to make it look decent, and yes, I did the anti-aliasing on it by hand. (Probably didn't have to, it just seemed in the spirit of things.) But then Inu again was like "Hey just for you I coded in this thing so you can have an actual text shadow on your name" and I also coopted that functionality to style the name.

After that, I spent about an hour on image editing trying different ways to get a darkened status bar, since I was noticing as it was that it was basically unreadable on most schemes. I blended the lighter preexisting color across the text body's background image with a 0.5 alpha value. Had to make a few simple edits to get it to look right, but the main issue was figuring out what exact technique I wanted to use.

right now i think it looks pretty good

Have an hour to spare.

Woke up an hour before I set my alarm. And a few times before that, though those times I forced myself back to sleep. Just didn't feel all that tired. Weird. Got maybe four and a half hours of sleep...
