The controls take some getting used to. The 3DS version pretty much convinced me to get the Wii U version. It looks fine with 1-2 players on screen but when it zooms out with 4 players, it does get a little hard to see. It's a shame the demo doesn't allow the player to adjust the outlines (does however, let you select a character on the touch screen while playing and have a reticle hover around it).
I looked a streams on Twitch and Hitbox. There's quite a bit of lag (can be due to a lot of different circumstances). I know Sakurai mentioned in the April Direct that ethernet is ideal for the Wii U version ... eh, the 3DS version is kind of SoL. N3DS does have an updated WiFi module, so it'll be interesting how much of the lag is server side or just do to the device performance.
There's pictures already circulation of people snapping of their Circle Pads while playing. I can believe it. In order to run in the game, it requires a lot of quick movement ... often flicking it quickly in one direction to get to full speed.
I wish the demo had a practice mode. The closest thing the demo has to one is the warm up before a 2-4 player wireless match. If you have two systems, might give it a try because it allows you unlimited time to try an entire character's moveset. |

Bit conflicted. It's like a grey area because TCRF typically covers revisional differences of released games (on whatever medium they were delivered). Nintendo has rolled downloadable updates into later cartridge releases (as was the case with Mario Kart 7). I can't say if this was done for games like Style Savvy Trendsetters or M&L Dream Team.
A few pages I've read (like Dream Team and Pokemon X/Y) are change logs. It's a good outline to start understanding Nintendo's patching system, do they add placeholders for future updates, etc.
Then it becomes a debate on whether content included, but not used, will be available in future updates. Then I start thinking of games like Team Fortress II on Steam. I think there may have been instances were assets were included, removed, and then eventually patched back in and used.
Some aspects make games almost "alive" ... hate making TCRF sound like an obituary. I guess the worst thing to be is speculative and articles should be corrected if changed.
Given the nature of 3DS updates ... they're only a handful. iOS games get updates for circumstances like newer devices and versions of iOS, which may or may not include changes to assets.
Just to answer the OP's original question. If the game's free or have downloaded the .IPA file, renaming them to .ZIP and extracting them should produce some results. There also should be applications available to see and modify the user directory of your device (unless Apple's closed that in newer iOS revisions). I used to do that on my non-jailbroken iPhone to get modified gamesaves on my device (like Sonic CD and GTA series). |

I use either VLC for FLAC. Google Music and YouTube for everything else. With the exception of FLAC or ALAC rips, most stuff is stored on the cloud. Prefer MP3 320 VBR ... AAC not so much. Spotify web player and tablet app are good discovery tools. Pandora is just incredibly nice if I don't want to make a conscious decision in what I want to listen to.
I used to mesh a whole bunch of speakers together using AirPlay and wired speakers. Mess of wires and misplaced speakers with awesome, overkill bass levels. There were a few Pink Floyd 4.1 mixes that I'd listen to directly from my computer's optical out directly to the sound system (Samsung theater in a box ... which is now stored in a box somewhere). Eh, got tired of some of the upkeep ... wire shorts and constantly crimping wires.
In no way am I an audiophile.
Went into a quiet phase where I'd listen to music over cheap earbuds and speakers.
Now I'm using higher quality over ear headphones with some noise canceling. It's not the floor rocking, earth shattering bass sound I'd get from a sound system but the audio's clean and I don't have to worry about bothering the next person. However, noticing flaws more in poorly encoded music. So after a ton of years, I'm weeding out stuff and replacing it with better rips.
Turntable. Wants one. Fancy laser models are quite nice. Years and years ago someone figured out how to rip vinyls with flat bed scanners (but I don't think the project went anywhere ... resolution was too low to be anything but a proof of concept at the time.
Own few actual vinyls ... 1973 Lord of the Rings is a fun one because it's "inspired" music. It's trance music. Eeriest, coolest stuff. Pretty unique. Album cover has some amazingly cool artwork. |

GameStop and Best Buy were it. GameStop was next to impossible to get a pre-order. I heard that their payment system wasn't working right and people accidentally got double or triple orders without being charged. Best Buy on the other hand had a 1h window. They're unlikely to cancel any orders and because they didn't have a hard limit on how many you could buy.
Target and Wal-Mart still haven't said whether they're carrying the Majora's Mask LE yet. Monster Hunter one was GameStop exclusive and that took a little longer to sell out. Ehh, NewEgg only carries the standard editions. Sears/K-Mart are unlikely to carry it at all with their gaming clearances.
"Sold Out online" means that they've exhausted their warehouse inventory or whatever they're expecting to get in before they take any more orders. GameStop isn't getting Monster Hunter systems in-stores (very limited locations) ... Majora's Mask LE might be the same. BB stores may get a few? Who knows. This system might be more available or it could be Animal Crossing bundle or Pikachu XL style limited. |

What does the LE contain anyway, other than the Skull Kid figurine?
Basically.
The Majora's Mask system doesn't come with anything. The Majora's Mask LE game (sold out a week or two ago) had the game and the Skull Kid statue.
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate system comes the MH4U game preinstalled. None of the systems, including the regular ones, come with a wall adapter. Thanks Nintendo.

Works pretty nicely for any game that doesn't require region specific patches (E.g. Smash), but playing Eu games on my import 3DS XL is quite nice. Got me playing DKCR3D again.
Clever workaround. Download Play + Browser Exploit. |

I'm asking between the standalone game and the limited edition: if the only difference is the Skull Kid statue (and especially important if the game itself is unmodified) then I'll just get the standalone game. While the system sounds appealing I don't need/can't allocate money toward another 3DS right now :/
You might want to look into buying a Circle Pad Pro. Majora's Mask is compatible with it if you want to try out the free camera controls. |

Yeah, I expect that a system revision will fix the exploit - it's tied to the web browser and also enables flashcards for those that use them. I don't expect it to stay for long.
That being said, it apparently only functions on the Classic 3DS/XL/2DS, not the new. So who knows what it'll end up being like.
Nintendo will probably disable using the web browser in the next update. They might even make the Download Play app run in high RAM mode if it doesn't break things.
Best Buy cancelled my Majora's Mask New XL ... hiss, boo ... least I'm still getting a black one. |

| The demo really changed my opinion of the game. I've seen it covered to death in a lot of different publications. Nintendo's really pushing this game with a bunch of different media events since it was introduced at E3 last year. I'm probably going to get it on Friday. |

There are the levels I created so far:
"Froyo Plains 1" - 8F9E-0000-0012-B04A
"SMB 1-3 (SMW)" - 66C4-0000-0013-1FAE
"Donut Challenge 1" - C7DC-0000-0017-8A9F
"Who Cares Aboot Koopas?" - 1B71-0000-0018-3206
"NES Remix (Run, Mario, Run!) 8-3" - CB1D-0000-0019-630E
The level creator is a blast (except for the friggin' hour or so of clock changing and unlocking).

I did one more level:
"Return to Subcon: Mario World" 018C-0000-001B-9B25
Remade the first level of Super Mario Bros. 2 (USA) ... or at least what I could of it. |

I made a few small tweaks and reuploaded my Super Mario Bros. 2 throwback stage:
FA46-0000-001D-38A7
Also uploaded another new stage:
"Flight of the Buzzy-Beetles" - 2682-0000-0025-B30E |

Giant Land Throwback - B50E-0000-0028-326A
It's 4-1 and 4-4 from SMB3 ... more or less as faithful as I could get. I did add more enemies to 4-4 because it felt empty otherwise. |

All of my stages so far (please star one or all of them )
SMB 1-3 (SMW) 66C4-0000-0013-1FAE
More or less a replica of SMB 1-3 in SMW style.
Who Cares Aboot Koopas? 1B71-0000-0018-3206
Original stage. The "Aboot" was an intentional Canadian-ism of the word. Also, Sonic uses a Goomba's shoe.
Super Mario U.S.A. (2) Throwback 0CE9-0000-001C-7C94
Did SMB2 in SMW style because you can pick up and throw Goomba in this style.
Flight of the Buzzy-Beetles 2682-0000-0025-B30E
The layout for the very first part is similar to NSMBU's "Flight of the Para-Beetles" ... but everything is different after that. It's just a homage to that stage
Operation: Shy Guy 77AB-0000-002A-D2F4
Another SMB2 1-1 stage but with Shy Guy costume and a few slight adjustments here and there. Prefer this one to the SMW-style version.
Memories of Giant Land AFD5-0000-002A-DEAA
Remix of two SMB3 Giant Land into one.
Giant Land Remix 8D44-0000-0032-34F4
Basically the SMB3 stage but with the ability to use the giant mushroom exclusive to the SMB1 style. You can take some massive shortcuts here.
Luigi's Timeshare A09D-0000-0034-089E
An original stage!?! Just a quick run with a few obstacles.
Kirby's Other Adventure 79D6-0000-0034-8AA0
Kirby's Adventure's first stage. Did the best I could with the lack of slopes.
30 Years Later: 5-1 is Haunted 5BD0-0000-0037-A25D
SMB's 5-1 stage with ghost characters replacing what would normally be Koopa Troopa and Goomba.
This Level is a Work in Progress E2B4-0000-003F-5798
Kind of intentionally half done. Starts out as NSMB's first stage but drops off into a short Bowser battle.
SMB 6-2 95AA-0000-003F-F61D
Pretty straight forward version of SMB's 6-2.
Grass Land Airship Remix BD78-0000-0042-E176
SMB3's airship stage ... again, more or less a faithful recreation with a Bowser Jr. fight at the end that's unique as in you probably have to beat Bowser Jr. before you can move to the goal. Tried to get something faithful to the Koopa Kid fights without doing something over the top.
Esper Alcove F9C8-0000-0043-9FE9
A completely original stage. You can beat it without running. More of a platform stage vs. an enemy stage.
8-3 (SMB) F490-0000-0044-AF20
Flood of unoriginality continues ... but hey, you can download it and mess with it if you want.
1-6 (SMB3) 2F5B-0000-0045-24CE
Yup.
Mega Man Dies at the End DD3D-0000-0045-28C0
More or less avoiding Bowser and dying at the end. Also, I liked that web series.
SMB3 6-1 Remix 663E-0000-0049-4FE6
Some different enemy placements.
Run, Metal Mario. Run! 19A2-0000-004C-66FB
SMB3's 7-6 more or less.
The Great Gig in the Sky 309B-0000-004D-EDE0
Super Mario World's "Tubular" stage with more enemies. Winged Hammer Bros. take over for the lack of Chagin' Chucks.
Crazy Vulcan's Keep 032B-0000-0052-6FDD
Original challenge stage. I like SMB3's fortress style. Ah, the memories. There's a lot of Bowsers in this stage though.
