| I took a look at this years ago, interestingly I found textures for licensed, real life vehicles with emblems on them (Ford, Honda etc.). It's been awhile so I can't remember exactly how many or which cars they were. Was easy to find too, rename the data files to .zip and they unpack easily. Hopefully someone will take a good look as I no longer have a copy. |

Hi, huge fan of the site and been coming here for ages! Decided to start exploring some games I've always been meaning to but haven't got around to and decided to start with Deadly Premonition (I'm looking at the 360 version)
Right away I've found readfile.dir, readfile.tbl, read_file_us.dir and readfile_us.tbl. There doesn't seem to be a difference between the readfile and readfile_us. .tbl files seem to be like excel documents from what I've read and opening them gives me a list of files from directories, so I guess it's an export list of sorts. Was wondering if this was in the scope of the wiki since it's not particularly exciting. And does anybody know what .dir files would be? A script of some sort, perhaps?
Also in a folder called storage is this image, rw_thumb.png. RSP certainly means Red Seeds Profile, the Japanese name of the game so I assume it isn't used in the American version, but the way it looks makes me think it's completely unused (then again the whole game is pretty sloppy). To me it looks like an original Xbox save icon but I have no basis for this whatsoever heh.
I haven't started looking through the packed files yet so hopefully I'll be finding very interesting things as the game had a very long development cycle, starting in 2004 for the PS2 and going through many revisions, with a complete reboot at one point |
