| I've found and uploaded an old short Japanese preview of Sonic R for all Sonic fans, Saturn fans -- nay, everyone -- to see, with annotations demonstrating what's different in this preview! This preview features some rudimentary details, most notable is a scratch version of the (in?)famous Sonic R theme "Super Sonic Racing" (But you would have to listen closely as the obnoxious Japanese announcer guy keeps blabbing his freaking mouth over it. =P)! This segment originated from a Sega promotional VHS tape titled "セガサターンビデオマガジン 1997å¹´12月å·" (or Sega Saturn Video Magazine - December 1997). I found the Sega video itself from Nico Nico Douga. Original URL source: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm12904944 Enjoy. |

| I know I won't get much props here for this, but... RUMOR: Mega Man Legends 3 is still possible And you still can make it happen. "David" of the 100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3 Campaign has reported that a Facebook user by the name of "Zeri P Bishop," had supposedly received information from a source within Capcom of possibly reviving the MML3 project. According to Zeri P Bishop, fans may actually still bring back Mega Man Legends 3 into development. The message posted here has been edited by me, for it is essentially instructions to help get the game back in development, and clarity and understanding is essential. For the Zeri's original post, see here. "When MML3 was canceled and the Japan DevRoom sealed off, the development team for MML3 made them keep the North American DevRoom open in order to try and gain enough members worldwide in order to continue Development. Here's the OFFICIAL problem: Capcom looked at the number of members registered in the MML3 DevRoom as the official number of units they could anticipate to sell if they green-lighted the title for Full Development. The game was never authorized for full time development because the numbers in North America were less than 4500. Which with development costs it was deemed Financially Unacceptable to release the title. HOWEVER, The DevTeam convinced them to leave the North American Development Room on Capcom-Unity open in an effort to try and generate enough members to change their minds. Also inside the DevRoom is the Official Petition to release the prototype of the game and continue development of the game on a FULL SCALE. In order to do this however we need your help to spread the word out to your 25,000+ people to do two things. (The instructions have been edited for the easiest way to do this via Facebook.) Come on show them that you care and want them to make MML3. Become a Servbot! DON'T JUST CLICK "LIKE" ON FACEBOOK! 1) Click this Link. 2) Click Register 3) Click Facebook 4) Fill out birth date 5) Click Accept 6) Click the Green Plus Mark that will add you to the DevRoom 7) Then the box above it "Become a Servbot." The numbers here were why it (Mega Man Legends 3) was originally canceled. After you join the Dev Room as a Servbot you are then permitted to sign the ONLY Capcom recognized Petition for Mega Man Legends 3 here. If you can get your 25,000+ people to all bring up the official headcount in support of the game and sign the petition to bring back the prototype. Capcom will be forced to see the game as profitable again netting in over 5 times the original projected profit and if you can reach your goal of 100,000 as well while getting them to do this the game will have a projected profit of over 20 times the original projections. Convincing Capcom there is money to be made is one of the fastest ways to get them to green-light the project. This was said by the development team for the game itself. Please help. Legends Never Die." Before you all explode with excitement or scoff it if, this Zeri person's post should be taken with a grain of salt, as he does not explain who told him the prerequisites. However, taking Zeri's suggestion would result nothing lost, other than two-to-three minutes of your time. =) For those of you wondering, The 100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3 Campaign, otherwise known as Get Me Off The Moon, is not a petition but a campaign hub aiming for one hundred thousand individuals to join them in an effort to convince Capcom to resume development of the 3DS game. It has already achieved 1/3 of it's goal so far. You can just click on the URL, log into Facebook, click on "Like" on the lower left side of the page. = |

| If you don't mind the pun of the thread title... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukuphGm928w Originally found on Nico Nico Douga titled, ファミマガ ï¼¶ï½‰ï½„ï½…ï½ ã€ 1989å¹´ ï¼•æœˆå· ï¼ˆï¼’ï¼ï¼’)】 (literally Famimaga Video May 1989), I stumbled upon this interesting Mother 1 footage while searching for media on Mother 3. Same as the Super Mario Bros. 3 footage. The video shows the various differences of this pre-release version to the final version that my annotations go over. While there isn't anything hugely major to show, the path from Ninten's house looks to be mirrored, some game menu details are different, and the O on 0:07 is at the lower right corner of the title screen! Once again, as these 80's Japanese game videos are from a completely different, simpler era, there barely exists any pre-release footage of MOTHER 1, let alone the Mother/EarthBound series in general. Just like the Mario 3 video I shared to you last month, it teaches us the development stages of a game before it gets published too. It's not subbed, so it could use a quick translation from someone who knows Japanese. =) Original URL: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11562473. Because I don't want to take all the credit for this, as the video was originally uploaded and found on Nico Nico Douga. -------------------- -OKeijiDragon |

If embed fails: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f91YL3A2TK0 This is a musical mash-up of Evening Star from Knuckles' Chaotix and Nothin' on You by B.o.B. Personally, I'm mighty impressed of how this turned out. Originally uploaded on December 2010 on YouTube, it was blocked worldwide months later (damn you, YouTube). I've fixed a few features in this 2011 video "re-upload." -Equalized and inverted the songs and lyrics. -Artwork edited for improvement. -New visual effects added. -Re-timed the "Nintendo 64" and "Pause" moments. Even though the original got taken down, at the very least I'd be optimistic enough to find ways to improve the original in more ways then one. Hope you guys enjoy this. =) I also did some "cover art" for the video as well. ![]() ![]() I hold no rights to this. This was made as a fan-tribute to two music pieces that I like. |

I found these these European magazine scans of old Nintendo articles circa 1995, that I found a long while ago on the internet. These scans are old articles of the then-upcoming Nintendo Ultra 64 and Super Mario RPG, which I've decided to share to you all. This scans feature an interview with Yasuhiro Minagawa and Yoshio Hongo of the General Affairs Department (Public Relations, I think.) about plans for the Ultra 64 (and Nintendo's decision about it using carts over CDs), SquareSoft's plans of the time and Super Mario RPG, and even some tiny mentions of Mother 3 and Star Fox 2 on the Super Famicom (SNES)! These are two scans of Maximum. Issue 2, Page 107 & 108. ![]() Originally posted by Quote of Interest about SMRPG ![]() ------ They particular scans are from the October 1995, 36th Issue of Super Play, a British Nintendo magazine that ran from the early-to-mid 1990s. These pages contain samples of areas not found in the final game, screen-shots of vastly different content in the game, and a wire-frame diagram of the original (BUTT UGLY) 3D Mario model. ![]() ![]() ![]() Enjoy. |

I made a mash-up of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance and the Stage Select (Beta) theme from the Rockman 8 Beta. No one did anything with latter tune, so I did something with it. ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lJoTdhjNDs |

| I am scanning an old Japanese magazine called Famimaga Magazine Vol. 3. - Feb 9, 1996 that I plan on sharing with the internet. Famimaga was, aside of an old video series of game previews, a Japanese game print publication that focused on games made exclusively for Nintendo platforms at the time. There doesn't seem to be any previews with super different prototype things in this issue like I thought Super Mario RPG would (that game was the main reason why I got this), at least not explicitly. Then again, I'm not fluent in Japanese so I could be wrong. Hopefully, once I share these scans to the internet, there will be people with a fiery passion for old Japanese Super Famicom games who can translate these scans for generations to come! For complete details about this magazine, please watch my video below and net me some views. Currently available pages, enjoy. | If you're a Sega / NiGHTS fan, then here's a treat. This segment originated from an episode of Sega Video Magazine (a Japanese VHS series that presented old Sega games back in the mid-1990s), and it features the initial unveiling of NiGHTS at the Japanese Tokyo Prince Hotel way back in March 26, 1996; followed by an old, rare interview with Yuji Naka, Naoto Oshima, and Takashi Iizuka. Also included in the segment are footage of the game's early stages of development, including a different stage layout for Spring Valley. Many of the sound effects that you can hear are also very different, and even the music sounds unrefined! Such elements are highlighted in the video though annotations. There has been no translation for this interview yet, so unless you speak Japanese its a guess of what they're saying. Once again, it another video from this particular source. Nico Nico Douga is quite the treasure chest of Japanese gaming history, desuka. |

In the dusk of this year's disappointing E3 2012 event, I hope you fans get something neat out of this. I've recently rediscovered an ISO of a CD-ROM inside my old hard drive called the Next Generation September 1997. These were discs that were distributed into copies of Next Generation Magazine when you bought the magazine at the time. Included in the disc were lots of (low-quality 320x240) videos of PlayStation, Sega Saturn, & Nintendo 64 games that were featured at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) on June 1997 in Atlantic, Georgia. I've found many beta clips of many different games inside this particular disc, including Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, Mega Man Neo (Legends), and Sonic R, all in their pre-release glory. The following videos have been edited to correct the contrast issues the videos had when it was first produced. They looked terrible (view this comparison: http://twitpic.com/9d1v6q).
This Sonic R footage features what appears to be a slightly (don't quote me, watch and decide for yourself) stage layout at the end of the stage. Different HUD (boy, this was publically a common beta game trait from those days huh?), and character icons, camera angles, etc. There might be a better quality version on YouTube somewhere, but I didn't find it until after this video was uploaded. In the disc contents also included a rare(?) interview with former Nintendo of America Howard Lincoln. The interview centered around the Nintendo 64 and its then-so far performance in sales and software output. There is also a big focus on former second-party British Nintendo developer Rare. And finally, Mega Man Neo's trailer (which also includes annotations) can be found in an article on start-up Mega Man fansite, DASH Republic. Please visit the site and read our awesome article on the subject! One more thing. I can't remember where I found the ISO in the internet originally, but in case the download source is no longer available: |

They made a really good Simpsons game (Hit & Run), and were quite open to the Crash Bandicoot fanbase when they still were making the recent titles of that franchise. I'm a little bummed out to see them go.
Now what does EA REALLY consider a failure? Less than 5 million? =/ |

| Alright, I'm on Page 73 right now in this scanning project but now I'm thinking I should just start posting a few pages at a time to get people riled up for this issue. No point in delaying this forever. Would it be OK if I posted only a few at a certain pattern/period of time? |
