Instead of making yet another thread that's similar to this... I decided to follow up on this one.
I'm musing hypotheticals here... so bear with me, but is it possible that for me to feel at home I need to have a feeling of excitement with where I am at? And if that's true, would it also be so that I'd need to be constantly expanding horizons to feel that excitement and be "home"? When I was in Portland, Oregon in February for example. Things were fresh, new... they were exciting. As a result of that excitement I had a lot of fun, and really felt like I belonged somewhere. I'm not talking new place, new adventures type of feeling... but more a feeling that it's the same place I know but it's not the same place at the same time. A lot of people would probably be scared their first time going to the big city without any family around them. I flew on a plane, and took a leap of faith, knowing I could have gotten hurt or stuck there, all without a family member near me anywhere. But I wasn't scared. From the moment I stepped off the plane, I felt more at home than I had ever felt before. I felt like it was a place I belonged. And this was before I even talked to anyone. I stepped into the city, and felt like things were perfect, like I had been there before. But I obviously hadn't. It was my first adventure anywhere without a single family member within 100... or hell even 3000 miles of my location. And it felt safe. It felt like it was home. On the topic of home, was what I felt right? Was it weird? Is there something I'm not getting? -------------------- What Would Leggy Do?

I don't use Opera, so this affects me very little.
