| There is a massive amount of content in the Xbox 360 version of Tales of Vesperia that is unused but almost all of which was later used in the Japanese exclusive PS3 version. The Tales series wiki wants nothing to do with such information but can it find a home here? I pretty sure that it was stated that even the smallest amount of info on such things was wanted, but I thought I'd ask first anyway. |

| Alright then! I will begin to compile all the info I can. I am currently working on a project to decipher as much of the save file for the game as I can. This has led me to find so many unused things that information on will not fall into said project. I may also add info on the SSBM debug menu, what seems to be a test/debug room in Pokemon Pearl, and a few other things. Just don't think much of it if I randomly seem to drop off the face of the Earth for a few months. I tend to do that from time to time.
Additionally: Thanks for welcoming me. |

| I said I was going to add Tales of Vesperia stuff and I will, but I started with WarioWare Inc for the Game Boy Advance. If anyone wants to look over it and see if it is all done correctly and what I may have missed, that would be good. |

| I have found a list of working titles for all games in WarioWare, Inc. I will have a list of working titles matched to the games they are for soon. However, there are a few that stand out.
The following working titles are for the unused games that still exist and are on the wiki. BLOCK F1 RACE TV GAME 6 LP. PONG FOR TWO I think I have also found the descriptions for the microgames but I will need to get a Japanese rom to be able to view them. These are for games that no longer exist in the game. KILL VIRUSES FROG JUMP ( DUMMY ) SUPER MARIO? BASEMENT LP. STREET FIGHT LP. GOMA ( Dummy ) LP. ROBO CONTROL LP. FUNCTION TEST LP. 3D TEST The working title SUPER MARIO? is for the microgame Super Wario Bros. so I would asume that SUPER MARIO? BASEMENT would probably have been an underground version. LP. STREET FIGHT and LP. GOMA ( Dummy ) are found among the bosses. LP. ROBO CONTROL is found among the minigames. There are also what seem to be older versions of Getcha Groove On, Noodle Cup, and Code Buster. The only differences I noticed were that Getcha Groove On has to short of a time limit and Code Buster has less variations. I have also found a way to play any music or sound effects that I want. I have already found one unused sound effect, one unused song, and three other possibly unused songs. However, there is a large amount of music and sound effects to check. If anyone is interested in checking them out I can tell you how I do it. |

| I have the list for the games.
wwlist.txt Use a cheat device or the cheat option in an emulator to change the value at address 03000E61. With the value kept constant, just select any microgame from the grid. Any game that does not exist will dummy to Crazy Cars. I will work on the music/SFX next. There is a lot more that has to be done for those. Also, I'm not comfortable with how different types of information should be formatted on the wiki so anyone can add the info I post. |

| Here is my short guide of sound testing.
The first thing you need to do is disable the sound effect that plays when you switch between what is playing. You need to remove the first instance of 083FC2C4 (or C4 C2 3F 08 if you are in 8-bit view) from the rom by changing it to “00000000”. This can either be done by using a hex editor to permanently remove it from 0xF744 or a memory viewer to temporarily remove it from 0x800F744. Optionally, you can use a cheat to force 0x3000F74 to hold the value “10000000” if you are only listening to music. Next, enter the name change menu. Change the 8-bit value at 0x3003B98 to “02” and change 0x3003B9C to “00000000”. Now you can use the address 0x3003BA0 for the value of what you want to play. Alternatively, you could not change the 8-bit value at 0x3003B98 and then use all four addresses (0x3003B9C, 0x3003BA0, 0x3003BA4, and 0x3003BA8) for playing sounds. I just find that having only one sound and an empty slot keeps things easier to follow. Here is the current list of sounds and their hex addresses: wwsound.txt The values increase by 14 hex. The list actually has the addresses of the sounds, for the values just change the “x” to an “8”. There are 1,342 of them so it may take awhile to get through them all. |

| I found what seems to be a debug room on Pokemon Pearl. What you do is go to the wi-fi room and talk to the person so they let you in. Once in the room, leave the room. After you've left the room, use a walk through walls cheat to walk through the desk and back into the room. It should now be full of NPCs. About a dozen of them. Talking to any of the NPCs will freeze the game. |

| That is possible, however the setup of the NPCs is not completely sporadic as far as I can remember. (I have not played the game in a long time and I can't find my AR right now.) I just thought I should point it out so that someone with the proper resources could investigate it.
Also note that the game will freeze if you do not load the room normally before walking through the counter to get in. |

I'm still working on the sounds and music but for now here are a few other things.
The original pallets for Mario and Bowser that weren't used in the final versions of the Classic Clash microgames. The big circle may have had something to do with a super attack. I may have found where it would have been used or just a glitch and the circle will remain unexplained. I will explore it more before I jump to any conclusions.
The little devils seen here are unused and I am not sure what their purpose could possibly have been.
Two things to note here. Next to the folder for Jimmy is a larger picture of him with darker hair. Also there is a third cell phone folder with a white phone.
In this one there is a chicken, turtle, pig, witch, and some other things mixed in the Dr. Wario tiles. I have beaten Dr. Wario on all three difficulties and I did not see any of those things. The UFO, clouds, and the dino are used. That is all for now, but there is more to come. |

In Wario Land 4 there was originally going to be a cave at the end of Palm Tree Paradise.
By removing a layer of graphics the remains of the entrance to the cave can be seen. It's odd how the two parts are separate.
Inside are just three enemies and a large gem. The way the lighting increases as you get closer to the gem makes it seem as if it is somehow special. Perhaps such gems were not always so common as they are in the final game. |

| I assume you were wondering if rolling into the wall would break it. The answer is no. It is a solid wall. However, I did find something else very interesting. If you change address 03001899 to have a value of 4C Wario will pull out a very large key that is very much like the keys in WL3 and then goes through an animation that is very much like the animation for opening a chest in WL3. There are other unused animations as well but many will freeze the game shortly after starting, such as running while throwing. You can just keep changing that addresses value for different animations, but most wont work for many different reasons. |

| I am finally posting the stuff I find in Tales of Vesperia.
I'll start with recipes. All unused recipes are fully functional. Known as みそおでん in PS3 version: "Skewers A variety of grilled meat and vegetables. Restores a large amount of HP and TP." Known as ステーキ in the PS3 version: "Steak A slice of sirloin steak grilled to perfection! Increases Attack greatly." Known as ちゃんちゃん焼き in the PS3 version: "Seafood Stew Eaten by fishermen out at sea. Full of nutrients and goodness from the ocean. Increases P. Defense greatly." From what I have observed, it's effects are those of ちゃんちゃん焼き but the rest of the stats, including ingredients and who hates it and such stuff, are those of 漁師なべ. Known as in the PS3 version: "Beef Stew A savory meal made with chunks of beef and vegetables. Increases Agility greatly for a fair amount of time." Additionally, Dog food is it's own recipe and actually has it's own description. "Dog Food Um...dogs seem to find this tasty." It requires no ingredients and has the same effects as failing a recipe. ---------------------------- Next up is Items. I've not gone through all the items yet and most of the unused items seem to have been removed entirely, but here are the items I've found so far. "Holy Bottle 2" Same description as the normal Holy Bottle and there seems to be no difference in the effect other then the white aura(or whatever) being changed to yellow. The rest of the items are all "Xbox LIVE" items. All Xbox LIVE items are already on the disc. "300,000 Gald (4)" Same as the first three. "Lv. UP + 10 (3)" "Lv. UP + 10 (4)" Both the same as the first two. "10,000 Chips Use this at a certain place to receive 10,000 chips." Gives you 10,000 chips. "Herb Set A variety of herbs to improve character status." This set gives you 10 each of: Sage, Savory, Lavender, Verbena, Chamomile, Basil, Saffron. And 5 each of: Red Sage, Red Savory, Red Lavender, Red Verbena, Red Chamomile, Red Basil, Red Saffron. Yuri's Bonus Title 01 Yuri's Bonus Title 02 Yuri's Bonus Title 03 Yuri's Bonus Title 04 Yuri's Bonus Title 05 Yuri's Bonus Title 06 Yuri's Bonus Title 07 Yuri's Bonus Title 08 Yuri's Bonus Title 09 Yuri's Bonus Title 10 Estelle's Bonus Title 01 Estelle's Bonus Title 02 Estelle's Bonus Title 03 Estelle's Bonus Title 04 Estelle's Bonus Title 05 Estelle's Bonus Title 06 Estelle's Bonus Title 07 Estelle's Bonus Title 08 Estelle's Bonus Title 09 Estelle's Bonus Title 10 Karol's Bonus Title 01 Karol's Bonus Title 02 Karol's Bonus Title 03 Karol's Bonus Title 04 Karol's Bonus Title 05 Karol's Bonus Title 06 Karol's Bonus Title 07 Karol's Bonus Title 08 Karol's Bonus Title 09 Karol's Bonus Title 10 Rita's Bonus Title 01 Rita's Bonus Title 02 Rita's Bonus Title 03 Rita's Bonus Title 04 Rita's Bonus Title 05 Rita's Bonus Title 06 Rita's Bonus Title 07 Rita's Bonus Title 08 Rita's Bonus Title 09 Rita's Bonus Title 10 Raven's Bonus Title 01 Raven's Bonus Title 02 Raven's Bonus Title 03 Raven's Bonus Title 04 Raven's Bonus Title 05 Raven's Bonus Title 06 Raven's Bonus Title 07 Raven's Bonus Title 08 Raven's Bonus Title 09 Raven's Bonus Title 10 Judith's Bonus Title 01 Judith's Bonus Title 02 Judith's Bonus Title 03 Judith's Bonus Title 04 Judith's Bonus Title 05 Judith's Bonus Title 06 Judith's Bonus Title 07 Judith's Bonus Title 08 Judith's Bonus Title 09 Judith's Bonus Title 10 Repede's Bonus Title 01 Repede's Bonus Title 02 Repede's Bonus Title 03 Repede's Bonus Title 04 Repede's Bonus Title 05 Repede's Bonus Title 06 Repede's Bonus Title 07 Repede's Bonus Title 08 Repede's Bonus Title 09 Repede's Bonus Title 10 That's right, additional titles. Each one has the description "Additional title for" and then the character's name. Using them just unlocks a blank title slot because these are the only Xbox LIVE items that actually require DLC. Next I'll probably post the rest of the items (if there are any), titles, skills, and artes. |

| TITLES
Estelle's titles: "Best Friends Rita's dear friend. A friendship that will last until the end of time." "Mysterious Maiden Dummy data." This is the title for the dress she wears at the begining of the game. Rita's titles: "Researcher For Life You devote yourself to train in the art of magic. There's no time to think about anything else!" "Estelle's Best Friend Estelle's best friend. You may complain at times, but you mean no harm." SKILLS None of these skills have been tested yet. Greyed out skills can still be selected. --Attack-- "Stinger Blow Occasionally paralyzes enemy with normal attack." "Double Hit A single hit will inflict two times the damage." Greyed out. "Supporter An inactive ally joins the battle briefly and attack with Azure Edge." Greyed out. "Magic Support Inactive allies will occasionally cast a spell from outside the battlefield." Greyed out. "Arrow Support An inactive ally will occasionally fire arrows from outside the battlefield." Greyed out. "Vertical Slash Turns the attack after an Aerial Jump into a Dragon Buster." Greyed out. "Aerial Support An inactive ally will momentarily decend from mid-air to attack an enemy." Greyed out. "Tensed Charge Increases attack speed by 30% when HP is extremely low." Greyed out. "Shine Occasionally stuns an enemy during Over Limit." Greyed out. "Team Work After using a Mystic Arte, all party member will become Super Armed for 5 seconds." --Guard-- "Magic Guard 2 Extend the guard effect by holding the button during a Magic Guard. Consumes TP." "Lion Heart Greatly increases resistance for all negative status effects." Greyed out. "Cure Area Allies near Flynn automatically recovers from status effects occasionally." Greyed out. "Guard Attack Cancels guard and performs a normal attack." Greyed out. "Over Reaction At taking damage, press the attack button to be knocked downed. Nullifies all attack while knocked to ground. Used to escape from combo attacks. Recovers automatically." Greyed out. Also, the description is actually all in one line, which made it unreadable for me and I had to look it up in the game files. "Shield Occasionally nullifies a physical attack." Greyed out. "Magic Shield Occasionally nullifies a spell sttack." Greyed out. "Devotion Receive half the damage of a nearby ally during battle." Greyed out. "Energy Coat Reduces damage of a physical attack. Consumes TP for every hit received." Greyed out. "Spell Cancel Press the guard button while casting to cancel the spell." "Shield Charge Press the attack button at the right timing to repel attack when defending with a shield." Greyed out. "Standing Guard Guard temporarily after standing up." This one is found at the bottom of the -All- list, after the Support Skills. --Move-- "Shadow Striker Increases speed when attacking an enemy from the back." Greyed out. "Circlet Heal During Over Limit, Free Run to create a circle on the field. Members within the circle will recover HP." Greyed out. "High Five Occasionally, party members will high five each other on the battle result screen." Greyed out. "Linkage During Over Limit, connect party members with a ring to move together during Free Run." Greyed out. "OVL Boost Area The speed of the OVL gauge fills up according to the number of allies near Flynn during battle." Greyed out. "S. Spell Area Decreases casting time when near Flynn during battle." Greyed out. "Shooter's Position Take position by pressing the guard button twice. Attack power will increase. Press the guard button twice again to cancel." Greyed out. "Quick Arrow 2 Decreases amount of time needed to fire an arrow, but power decreases. Limited to normal attacks only." Greyed out. --Support-- "Item Support Standby allies occasionally uses items on active allies from outside the battlefield." Greyed out. "Rally Standby characters will occasionally cheer on allies. Slightly fills the OVL gauge." Greyed out. "Training LP Characters on standby will receive the same amount of LP as active allies." Greyed out. "Easy Finish Extends the FB frame duration, but bonus is reduced." Greyed out. "Advanced Finish Shortens the FB frame duration, but bonus is increased." Greyed out. "Heal Support Standby allies will occasionally use heal magic on active allies." Greyed out. "Imitation Voice Says Yuri's lines after winning a battle." Greyed out. "HP Relax Recovers HP gradually by not doing anything in battle." "Lunge Weakness Occasionally, a standby ally will appear on the battlefield and use a weakening type arte on enemy." Greyed out. "Target Spark Receive extra EXP for defeating enemy while targeted by the entire enemy group." Greyed out. "Balfour Returns spear to another dimension after battle." Greyed out. "Concentration Increases concentration by 10." Greyed out. This seems to be for an unused stat. This would also explain what the value in a character stats area is that I could not figure out its use. "TP Support TP consumption split with Flynn when using base artes near him during battle." Greyed out. "Anger All parameters increases when an ally is KO. Parameters returns to normal once revived." Greyed out. "No Artes Plus Increases EXP earned for allies finishing battle without using any base or arcane artes." Greyed out. "No Escape Occasionally prevents enemy from escaping." Greyed out. "OVL Support If Flynn in on standby, he will cheer from outside the battlefield, boosting the Over Limit gauge." Greyed out. "OVL Relax Fills the OVL gauge gradually by not doing anything in battle." "Eternity Changes certain artes to another kind." MONSTERS I searched through the game files and found a list of monster names. I've taken out all the ones that are in the Monaster Book and the Billybally Leaf, Bridge Support, and Lamp as they were used in special battles. Any monsters on this list that were used in the game are actually duplicates that were not used for some reason. I tried to find that stats for these monsters but that is quite the "needle in a haystack" situation. Also, it's a testament to how flexible save editing is for this game that I can see these without having to mod my system. Knight Fencer H Knight Fencer K - Ks are the purple knights used by Cumore. Knight Warrior H - Hs are the light green knights. I think the H probably stands for Heurassein. Knight Warrior F Knight Warrior K Knight Warrior S Knight Halberd K Knight Halberd S Knight Lancer H Knight Lancer F Knight Lancer K Filifolia Mutant - The only thing I found that matches up with this is the seeds from Filifolia Puff. Chirpee Seasidey Heavy Bear - Looks like a Skinny or Grimza and has claws like Wrath Nail. Basilisk Giant Beetle Goliath - Does not have the power glow. Gattuso Gattuso Cub Outbreaker Yuri - No idea what these were planned for. Karol Rita Raven Judith Repede Karolow X - I'm not sure if Karolow X was used in battle or not. I can and will get pictures of most, if not all, of the unused monsters. ARTES And finally, I found out that EVERY attack by EVERYTHING in the game are counted as Artes and can be added to a character's list of Artes. The list is HUGE and so I will leave it for the next post. |

| I've been busting through all the sounds and have cut the list down to about 80. Some may still be used, but some are most definitely unused. Here are some of the definitely unused. I put fade outs on those that don't normally end.
x_TEST Is not only a test file but also acts as the dummy for sounds. m_x_BGM_BOMB_4bar m_x_BGM_BOMB_8bar ^Definitely designed for testing microgame length. While 2bar was used for a few microgames, 4bar and 8bar go unused. m_BGM_01 ^Most likely early menu background music. The music for Dribble's story has four variations. It is most likely a change in format of the story mechanics so that all character's stories work the same way that left some of these unused. Others seem to be unused for no reason. m_BGM_DraBuru_02_IN m_BGM_DraBuru_03_IN m_BGM_DraBuru_04_IN ^These were supposed to be for retrying at the various music variations. m_BGM_DraBuru_02_END m_BGM_DraBuru_03_END m_BGM_DraBuru_04_END ^These were supposed to be for the results screen. m_BGM_DraBuru_02_BOSS_IN m_BGM_DraBuru_03_BOSS_IN m_BGM_DraBuru_04_BOSS_IN ^These were supposed to be for just before fighting a boss. m_BGM_DraBuru_03_SpeedUp m_BGM_DraBuru_04_SpeedUp ^These were supposed to be for when the speed increases. m_BGM_DraBuru_04_Intro ^This was supposed to be for the beginning of the fourth variation of the music. m_BGM_VS_RoboControl_10 ^A song from a versus minigame that was not put into the game. And finally, for now. m_BGM_Title_01 While not actually unused, some of the title music can not be heard normally. -------------------- Feel free to add anything I post to the wiki! |

| I looked into the game a bit and found that level numbers and how level numbers are handled on submaps is the exact same as in the SNES version. However, changing any or all of the values had no effect on what level loads. So the only way I can think of to easily load any level at will is to first figure out where in the map/submap RAM (or ROM) a level's value is, which is way more work than I am willing to do right now. But, I might look into it more later. Much later.
As the game is just a modified port, SMW Central and their wiki will probably help quite a bit. Some very good pages to note: List of levels Ram map Rom map Also, I tried loading it up in Lunar Magic. Didn't work. -------------------- Feel free to add anything I post to the wiki! |

There is code that references them, but I am not sure if the code is for for unfinished/unused content. One last thing, if I find that a sound is used for finished but unused content such as unused microgames, should I list the sounds as unused or not? -------------------- Feel free to add anything I post to the wiki! |
