i might be out there but i keep my laptops sticker-free and even remove OEM stickers from the palm rest

i appreciate when people do have stickers, though, but i would like the laptops i use, which are often design curiosities, to speak for themselves.

I did briefly entertain the notion of embedding a reactive simulated graph for my post background. I think people wouldn't be very happy about the CPU load though...

you could make a button that activates and loads it, then people can play around with it if they have the CPU power

Yeah, that would work I suppose!

Another silly idea I just thought of is, you could make a layout which has functional per-post reaction buttons like 👍 and ❤️. I'm not sure why you would want to but it's entirely within the realm of possibility.

how would you do this? i'd be curious to find out

so funny that you're getting tired of 1024x768, i actually just ordered a 15" Eizo FlexScan that was 1024x768. but i'm going to use it as my second monitor. sadly a lot of websites these days treat anything 1024px wide as a phone..

yeah i get it, i have an 1280x1024 display because 1024x768 alone is too small, especially if i'm using it for the web (because of the aforementioned reasons).

but the two laptops i use the most right now are 10.1" and 12.1", both 1024x768. it gets a bit cramped sometimes. i used to have a 14.1" 1400x1050 but it died suddenly..

anyway i'm hoping soon i can get an actually modern new laptop, now that Panasonic is making a 14" 3:2 laptop. i still like 4:3 more, but i think i'll like this one just fine.

I can't find anything about the Panasonic one, info would be appreciated! I'm interested to see it, all I can find here is a 12" Toughbook 2-in-1.

it's the Panasonic Let's Note CF-FV1, it's a japan-only model from 2021—so it's quite new.

out of panasonic's line-up, i currently have the CF-R9, the CF-T8 and CF-Y7 (recently broken, sadly). those are all from the 2000s. but i've owned the CF-RZ5 and CF-SZ5, which i didn't like as much. i'm a huge fan of their laptops, even though people here seemed to have recoiled at their circular touchpads when i mentioned them in the past.

i'm really partial to panasonic's products and a lot of their design quirks
