he's portrayed as kidnapping women, but Mario also serves unquestioningly the interests of the Mushroom Kingdom. why should we care about this status quo, in which Toads have domination over Koopas, Goombas, and Yoshis, all of which appear to be colonial subjects that have been marginalised to the outskirts of the kingdom, when they do live in the kingdom?
never mind the fact that the Koopas that live in the Koopa kingdom are forced to live in inhospitable volcanic places. i don't suppose people choose to live there just because they're evil⦠i'm convinced that Bowser kidnaps Peach for political and economic reasons. i think it says a lot that Koopas and Goombas will align themselves with Bowser and support him, rather than just revolting against him.
