Makes me wonder when Apple is going to get in on this gaming business. Then all the xbox fans can bash apple and destroy each other, sony and Nintendo will rise to the top of the market and Sega will come back from the grave and take down Nintendo with themselves leaving only Playstation left!

Sorry... did I say that out loud?

NOT COOL! History repeats its self! We wouldn't get internet for thousands of years!

Yep... the Wii could really use less shovelware. Alot of the things that the wii provides are just gimmicks. the Mii system, Wii apps, the 1000+ useless controller add-ons. What Nintendo really needs to focus on is solid gameplay and better controllers.

It'd probably fail because of the ridiculous amount of money they'd charge for it. :p

Yep... that is the downfall for almost all apple products, but that is because they have a monopoly on their current products. If they try that on their gaming systems, PS3 and XboX will just reduce their prices and push apple clean out of the market.

I'm surprised that EA and Popcap haven't tried porting their casual games (The Sims and the legion of games Popcap has) to the iPhone and Android. Those games, combined with Angry Birds, would make cell phones the undisputed kings of casual games.

Nope, the iPhone has already achieved that

Don't feel so bad about it. The programming world moves so fast, even the people who are up to date are very far behind. Only those who are creating all this programming stuff are actually caught up, but only for a few hours when somebody else 1ups them.

The PC still has The Sims and a few Popcap games, so cell phones aren't completely dominating the casual market. Yet.

It's a pity... once the Sims and Popcap games fade out, Cell phones will dominate. still Apple is already taking the cellphone market with the iPhone. either way it looks like a full victory for Apple.

what about pi? they add about 10 digits to it every month. (and yes it is between 3 and 4)

I went one step further and don't have an interest in anything really technical, like hard science, programming, math and the like.

these days that's more like a step back. it is very easy to fall far behind.

I still think there's a niche for handhelds like the DS for those that want something a bit more than in their games beyond a few minutes time waster in the bathroom.

Hey that is where I play my DSI and PSP.

hell, i'd never bring a PSP into the washroom. Im afraid i'd drop in in the toilet. Reading is the way to go.

What's weird is that I like doing certain technical things like dissecting a prototype for the The Cutting Room Floor wiki, but give me something like a math, hard science or programming book and I'll say "fuck this" after like five minutes of reading and trying to understand it.
