On the plus side, most email clients will interpret the mailto link correctly even with the %40 in there.
Or, I'd assume most email clients would. Thunderbird does for sure.

I didn't think the overhead of ahead-of-time decompressing audio was such a major problem these days.
Then again, Titanfall's minimum CPU requirement is a friggin' Celeron E3200 -- a low-end dual-core CPU that cost $52 when it was launched in Q3 2009, and is currently listed about a quarter of the way down Passmark's "mid-low end CPU" page, where it settles at almost the same score as a dual-core AMD Opteron CPU from 2006.
Anyone who develops a game in 2014 for a target that would be considered high end in 2006 should be taken out back and shot (or forced to listen to Hideo Kojima's brilliant ideas for MGS spinoffs after watching the latest Tom Cruise movie.)

Okay, I confess. I never really played through Skyrim when I got it. Didn't find it as enthralling as Oblivion and Morrowind were. So now I'm replaying it again with a few useful mods (like SkyUI -- thank Talos for SkyUI -- and a blade-mage animation replacement Stigandr found for me) and I must admit I am enjoying it.
The game's janky physics engine letting me fireball dragon corpses off cliffs is amazing.

I don't so much play STO as I do occasionally get reminded to check on some event or another by ^^that guy. Likewise, global is @Kazinsal.
Been playing whatever's free, indie, and would make for a good article or video for Cordilon Gaming. Most recently, Breath of Death VII.

Good lord, this. And get several people with different devices of different ages and screen sizes to test to make sure the mobile layout isn't horribly unusable on a set of devices.

Today is a dark day for the comedy world and the world as a whole. He brought a lot of joy to an awful lot of people.
Lots of people are sharing their stories of encountering Robin Williams. I never got the chance to meet him, but my uncle did, so I'll repost his story here.

I met Robin Williams once. I was at a technology show and he was apparently staying in the same hotel. We ascended an elevator together, he to his (I presume) suite and me to a vendor's con-suite. When we reached my floor the doors refused to open and we both simultaneously broke into an "open the pod doors please Hal" improv moment. I'm not sure I realized who he was until I exited the elevator but we shared a laugh and an honest grin. I like to think he was relieved to share a moment without being a "star".
Good night, Vietnam.

Had a dream last night that I was trying to suck up spider corpses with a hand vacuum except the vacuum was pushing them around while sucking up everything that wasn't a spider corpse.
Also dreamed that I had once again started developing a hobby OS and that once again things were looking good as I started to work on it. Then I woke up and checked my GitHub for anything new. Turns out that one wasn't a dream.
Immediately started looking for spider corpses and a different vacuum.

Rain. It's been raining all day.
It's been sunny for like, three weeks here in Vancouver.
I welcome the rain, even though it was my first day at uni and therefore there was a lot of campus touring.

I like being able to post in old threads without committing necromancy.
Proton Jon is back doing LPs! He's started a 100% run of Yoshi's Island (on an actual SNES, too) and is uploading new episodes Tuesdays and Fridays.

At the risk of invoking "they said that about imageboards, too," what are the chances that reddit's going to slow down any time soon? It's still growing rapidly enough for the company behind it (whatever they're called now) to hire more people for staff purposes and I haven't seen anything come about to replace it.
I like the ideas provided by the layout concept of reddit. The site itself has the same issues any multi-million user open messageboard has, but the concept is cool. I miss forums dearly though. Forums and IRC.
Good times.

This is a disappointment. Wikispaces was pretty cool back in the day, though I admit I haven't used it in a number of years ever since registering a domain name and getting a hosting plan. Seems that the internet's running out of free (both in terms of cost and bullshit) wiki hosting spots. I guess that's the end of the Web 2.0 era showing its ugly head.

Pretty sure someone who's been around here for as long as "here" has been around can determine where to put their posts, dude.

Aside: Adding height: 100%; to your post background div will fill the entire post box thing with it, if that's what you're aiming for.

I still maintain a web presence of sorts. I should really go about actually putting content on it, though. It's more fulfilling than Facebook -- you have much more potential for response than someone mindlessly frobbing a button with a little picture of a thumbs up on it as they scroll past waves and waves of dumb memes and party pictures with the occasional introspective musing in between.
Too bad I wasn't at this stage in my life when blogs were getting to be the next big thing. Would have been awesome.

Netbook (dionysus.cordilon.net) is now frantically being upgraded to Xubuntu 14.04. Since my last post it's been de-GUIed, de-plymouth'd, and de-mobiled, being reassigned as the server for KazBot for #cordilon on BadnikNET.
Turns out once you rip X and lightdm out, a gig of RAM and an Atom processor is a lot of room to work with.
