| I think the current solution on the Splatterhouse page of making it clear on the subpage description is the best option so far. |

| I recall finding a sound file in one of the archives that was one of Sam's quips before it had been digitally processed. I think there were some near final versions (volume not equalized right etc.) versions of the Sam voices too. EDIT: Created a wiki page with all my findings as well as the antipiracy stuff. |

I'm pretty sure this isn't fake, but the patch is right there so I guess give it a poke around? |

| Mr. Steve Ellis has admitted responsibility with this, and has sent an email to Zoinkitty explaining how his homebrew Spectrum Monitor ROM (spec_rom.seg.rz) worked. Zoinkitty's patch replaces Steve's monitor with the official Amstrad one, since the copyright has since been lifted. So... it's legit. And awesome. |

| Yeah, Zoinkitty checked that. On that note, the Classic Mode in Jetpac Refuelled on XBLA is not the original Spectrum code, it's recoded based from the Modern Mode codebase, using a shader to imitate the Speccy's "color clash" effect. THE MORE YOU KNOW |

Found in the DOTA2 particle effect data:![]() CyborgMatt is a guy who runs a site that dissects every change in every patch in impressive detail. Seems like Valve approve of that kind of commitment... |

| According to a recent interview with the game's director by Retro Gamer magazine, there was supposed to be a shape-shifting boss in the second half of the game that Square put effort into a "morphing program" for, but it was cut due to ROM size restrictions and he no longer remembers what it looked like. Maybe there's some leftovers scattered around the final ROM? There's some other neat development tidbits in the interview, but they aren't really relevant to TCRF. |

In the end, the game director and Miyamoto just flat-out asked the audience at the magazine-hosted event the game was unveiled at what they'd think was better. - Nintendo were very involved in development, with Miyamoto giving lots of design advice, but the Square team had a lot of freedom as well (Bowser's new personality was pretty much due to the Square team's love of stand-up comedy) - Another canned idea was for devices that would cause a domino effect/chain reaction on other devices around the world when used by Mario. This expanded into just cramming more action and events into each area. - Development was fairly difficult due to the sheer amount of events (especially ones that needed custom programming) for each map, as well as it being Square's first time working with pre-rendered 3D. - The game sold VERY well, but a sequel never happened due to the whole Playstation thing. The game's director, however, did help get Geno into Superstar Saga. "I wish I knew why he's so popular!" |

Currently, the featured article image on the front page of the wiki is an automatically-resized image from the page. I was thinking that it would look better if it was nicely cropped to the right size?![]() I think this looks a lot better and more fitting for the effort put into these articles, but maybe there's a technical reason we can't do this? A penny for your thoughts. |

| HL3 and some as-yet-unannounced space game codenamed SOB. Speaking of jokey placeholder stuff, it looks like Valve's beloved "Shitty Wizard" placeholder model is actually going to be used in the game as both an alternate sheep morph and an alternate carrier skin. |

| On the topic of Dota 2, the latest patch added voice reactions for some things that currently aren't allowed (like Pudge buying a Blink Dagger) just in case they change the rules in the future. |

Too lazy to add a page for this right now, but Alan Wake PC has a copy-protection that subtly alters Alan's appearance if the game is detected to be pirated:![]() Apparently Barry also gets two eyepatches, one over each eye. |

| There's also a QR code on the wall in Alan's study in Chapter 2. I'm not sure whether to add that because it's easily accessible in the game without any hacking at all, but it has a snarky developer message about a rather unpopular Microsoft PR comment on the 360 version... |

| Source Filmmaker has all sorts of TF2 goodies, like two old test maps, an unused Medic costume, and a solved mystery. Once I get my hands on it, I'm definitely making a page for it. |
