| I've been kind of, sort of, working on new version of the layout maker (read: 20 minutes a week tops). Honestly, the current version's total garbage.
Actually, I've been working on a DHTML widget library and using a new layout maker as testbed. I'm thinking of incorporating some of what I have for the got done into the current layout maker. though. Maybe at least replacing the sliders. I don't know what I was thinking with those. They move all goofy, and you can't drag them. I guess I just couldn't get them working right at the time. I wrote some new code the other day and had them working perfectly in about 15 minutes. Also, you see where it says hangman at the top? I'm not sure what the deal is with that, with everything being tiny, but after you reload it once it works fine. |

| Because the content on Youtube is user submitted. The idea is that users submit their own content, it just doesn't always work out that way. |

| Actually, I think you answered your own question. I know because I have exactly the same problem.
The problem is, when you don't feel like continuing with a project, there's only one person to push you on, yourself. And that person is the same person who doesn't feel like continuing. As you said, you didn't quit Italian because someone wouldn't let you. So, the trick is, when you start a new project, tell people about it, people you know will ask you how it's coming along, or maybe even push you to start back up when you stall out or get distracted. Admittedly, this may be a little annoying (okay, very annoying), but it is effective. What may work even better is to get someone to take on the same type of task or project with you. And you can compare each others progress as you go. But, as I said I have the same problem. My hard drive is littered with half finished programs, games and websites. Mostly what happens is I'll come up with some idea, and I'll work on it nonstop for a few days, then I'll take a break from it and when I come back to it, it doesn't seem as quite as great of idea as it did originally. Then I normally come up with some completely different "great idea" and the cycle begins anew. What's really annoying is when someone comes out with something similar to one of my many unfinished projects. |

| I've actually been using IE8 for awhile now in betas. Well, using it in in place of IE7, not as my primary browser.
It's not bad, and it's nice to see even Microsoft jumping on the standards bandwagon. They still have a ways to go, though. IE8 scores a 20 out of 100 on Acid3. As a point of comparison, the next highest score is KHTML at 83 out of 100. It's the first version of IE to pass Acid2, though. |

| It doesn't seem like anyone has mentioned AutoIt. It's a scripting language for interacting with the Windows GUI (among other thing). You can make scripts that start programs, manage windows, send keystrokes and click buttons. It also supports more advanced things like COM access, GUI creation, regexes, and sockets. It's very handy. |

| I averaged somewhere between 1 and 2 moves a year until I moved out at 17. Since then I have moved exactly once. I've had my current address now for over 6 year, which is by far a personal record.
It's nice not being uprooted every several months. Although, it really seems like time goes by a lot faster when you're staying in one place and doing the same things. |

| So is this supposed to be just some sort of statement or it expected to actually make some dent in world power consumption (and thereby greenhouse gas output)? If it's the lather, that's just silly, and if its the former I think if you care about the environment than a better statement would be setting an example of responsible energy use every hour of every other day of the year. |

| Autoit is awesome (you know, as computer software goes).
I've never had trouble sending keystrokes and mouse clicks to any windows, although it does have trouble accessing controls on some nonstandard GUIs kits (like Qt or wxWidgets). You can still work with them, though, it just takes a little more effort. |

| Oh, I see what you're saying. Autoit provides StdoutRead($pid). Where $pid is the process id returned when you called the run function. |

| I like how in the port-a-potty one, after the "businessmen" complain about the person interrupting their meeting, the person actually apologizes and goes back into the port-a-potty. |

| Did anybody read the article? These are only shows that weren't included in their earlier top 100 list, so it makes sense that they're more obscure.
As for Captain Planet, I hated that show as a kid. I could never understand why they didn't just combine their powers an have Captain Planet pop out 5 minutes in. They could have condensed the whole show down to less than 6 minutes, which would mean about 17 minutes less everyone would have to spend listening to those awful accents. |
