There is a limitation to the latest finding: The atom must be kept at minus-391 degrees Fahrenheit to keep it from migrating out of its channel, the report said. Because of this, the result should be seen as a proof of principle rather than an initial step in a manufacturing process, the researchers said.

“These results demonstrate that single-atom devices can in principle be built and controlled with atomically thin wires, where the active component represents the ultimate physical limit of Moore’s Law,” the researchers wrote in the report.

I love the sensationalist headline here, when it's literally nothing more than a proof of concept requiring things that will be nigh-impossible.

Save the 'breakthrough' headlines for when things are actually close to functioning

A subpage thing is pretty much easily bypassed if you, say, link to the page directly.

Also I really don't think a 'desperate hunt for nudity' is a big deal.

I think the big difference between pages that have NSFW content (Atomic F-Bomberman, anyone?) and this particular brand of it is that the text isn't as obvious from far away that it's NSFW and the audio doesn't make itself known until you hit play; images are just right there.

That's why I think a little notice at the top of the page would work well, just as an alert that content below might not be suitable for work. (Though the skip-through-the-page link would still cause issues, but at least it'd be on the same page.)

I appreciate your attempt to point out hypocricy in the argument that their site needs work, but

a) Jul has few if any of the irritating "features" tasvideos does and, in general, is stable
b) the changes that were made here are generally not as awful as the ones there
c) The board has not been under active development for a long time and I though this was obvious.

Tasvideos has several people who are "coders" who occasionally "fix" the site, but no actual improvements are ever made. The fact that the movies page lists every movie ever on the site is a callback to well before even 2006.

On the "prvventing subtle cheats from being used for TASes": that feature is already supported. FCEUX and the other rerecording emulators will pop up a warning if the ROM you're trying to watch a movie with doesn't match the ROM in the movie file (either by md5 or sha1 hashing); there's no reason to completely lock out a ROM.

I browse with Javascript disabled. Boom, I can't view our content. (this goes for anybody using noscript too.)

It also ruins mobile (how can you hover over it?) and some other stuff, not to mention actually adding the relevant code to the pages and making it work for the wiki's image code too.

You say not to overcomplicate things and then complicate them.
