Never did I think I'd see people on the internet getting angry about My Little Pony outside of collector's forums.

What the? I bet a lawyer made this to prove the faults in the law making system. I heard one lawyer in Austrailia patented the wheel to prove faults in the patent system.

No, it's just dumb right winger shit. It's not a stretch to think that somebody insane enough to make laws like this would put in retarded clauses like this.

Firey, what's your stance on civil unions? I've seen hetrosexual leftists and the like claim that civil unions for gays is pretty much the gay version of "separate but equal".

I was able to buy Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes (15) when I was 9.

When the hell are people going to realise that just because I play games where I can stick several bullets up someone's anus and then kick them off a platform, I'm not going to do that in real life. I pre-ordered this the day after I played the demo.

People just love to overplay this crap. For instance, the sex scene in Mass Effect. Sex? Piss off. It was a leg and part of a boob.

I think the problem stems from video game, movie and the like violence desensitizing kids from real violence later on in life. The theory is that having Billy tearing off Pig-Cops arms when he was 7 will make him more eager to get himself involved in violent situations later in life because he's desensitized to it, not because the game the actions in the game encouraged him do it or whatever the Fox News line is.

I disagree- I think you'd confuse a lot more people with military time than you do right now. I mean, it only changes twice a day afterall, and both in off-peak hours even.

I'm surprised to hear the Droid can't go to military time easily- I have one of those Linux netbooks and I haven't figured out how to set it to 12-hour.

I don't see the big deal with switching to military time either. It's pretty easy to infer if someone is talking about something like 1:00 AM or 1:00 PM if they didn't say whether it was AM or PM.

Well, i'd feel a little safer knowing that I had the power to kill a terrorist. Imagine what would have happened if the victims on the planes on 9/11 had guns.

Only in movie/video game land. In reality, things like shootings and terrorists attacks are very, very quick, and that usually doesn't give you enough time to pull your gun out and shoot like you're in Call of Duty. Remember Jared Lougher? Well, someone in the Segway near where he opened fire DID have a gun, but by the time the armed citizen pulled it out and was aiming, two citizens already disarmed him non-lethally. If he had shot the person holding Jared's gun, he would've hit one of the people that disarmed Jared.

Besides, there are non-lethal ways to subdue a terrorist. Remember the plane that crashed in the middle of Pennsylvania in 9/11? that's because the people on the plane managed to subdue the hijacker long enough AND they didn't use lethal weapons. They managed to prevent that plane from hitting the White House or god knows what else via non-lethal means.

Right now, I don't have the urge to go out and rip somebody's spine out. The real problem stems from bad friend choices/drug and smoking/gangs/peer pressure.

Just because you're okay doesn't mean that it applies for everyone. Playing violent video games might have a real affect on someone that lives in a violent neighborhood. By being desensitized to violence at a young age, I don't think it's a stretch to say that they'd happily join in on the violence either younger or a bit more eagerly.

You have entered a room with a radio. The radio is pumping bad music.

\equip hammer

Equipped

\smash

Smash what?

\radio

Using your ultimate hammer of ultimate power, you bring it's dragon fire hardened head smashing down upon the radio. The music simple ceases to exist and the radio and the table it was on are both gone.

Way to miss the point of the discussion.

Based on the previews, the game looks like a one-trick pony. It's something I'd get for $15 or $20 on a Steam sale. $60 USD? No fuckin' way.

Apparently, just the wiki itself, unless there's another Reddit link on top of that one...

Holy fuck. You know you've hit the big time when someone on Reddit links to your site AND it crashes from so many people visiting it.
