I think learning how to do things such as level editing, geometry editing, and such are more important than learning how to change Mario's model. When I start playing a hack, the determining factor of whether I continue playing it or not is the gameplay itself. Sure, if someone changed Mario into Peach but only made minor modficaations to the courses themselves, I might spend a few minutes running and jumping around a couple levels, but that would be all. I would much prefer to play a hack using Mario as the model but having substantial changes to the gameplay.

So to all of you out there who are working on modifying SM64, my suggestion would be to focus your energy on things like level design, be it by editing the geometry or simply by creating innovative ways to get stars with what's there already.

I agree.

And OoBurns, your layout sort of blends in with the text, and it's hard to read.

OoBurns' layout seems pretty good to me. And you can change how his layout looks by clicking one of the links at the bottom, going back to this page at refreshing.

Your problem can be fixed by setting back the Warp ID of the right door to 1 again, after changing it to a metal door.

The door on the left outside the castle should keep the Warp ID 0, since its connected to the one leading to the right door inside the castle.

So maybe you should check the warp ID of the doors, maybe that's the cause of your problem.

This is definitely a good start, Me-Me, but your mod needs a lot of work. I didn't always understand what stars I was supposed to get, so I basically just explored all of the worlds. But it's a nice mod, and I hope you continue to work on it.

I never ordered Chile at Wendy's. Which is good, because I wouldn't want to be at risk at finding a finger in it, like that poor guy a year ago.

I guess some people will do anything to get some money these days, even if it means planting a finger in chile. Disgusting.

I mean, if you're gonna stamp them with that, then they can just turn around and claim they'd rather help raise the child directly than pay child support. What're they gonna say? "No! You can only pay money! This child we believe you responsible for can NEVER be taken care of by you!"

It'd be nuts, but it'd serve the suer just right. "Want child support? I'll just be taking that kid away, then."

Plus, the man already stands to lose lots of money. May as well spend it on court dollars, making the idiot suing him feel what it's like to be on the other end of an absurd claim.
That would hurt.

Ever since I read the article about "BK condom burger," I can't seem to get the documentary Supersize Me out of my head. And just thinking about that film gets me sick to my stomach.

This is a nice tool, though, bonifarz. Now I can invert colors without getting annoyed by Tile Molester. Much. (I really should come up with another SM64 texture idea, inverted colors is getting stupid and a bit old).

Well, some people act like people on McDonalds are not human; more like slaves. I've seen people throwing a whole glass of coke on the floor, just because they didn't get as much coke as the other person. Try to remain calm there, when you have to clean the mess.
I guess you're right, but still, that's just GROSS. I'd probably do something worse to those customers, though.

I've leafed through the books before, but I never came across something like "Record for flying the farthest after getting hit by a car." I have seen some, uh, weird stuff in The Guiness Book of World Records (like heaviest baby, person with most piercings on body), but nothing I've read goes to this extent.
Actually, I may go to the library and read through the entire thing. Maybe I missed the "Incredibly Weird" section of the book.

Someone is definitely going to do that, but I never understood the motivation people get from making records from doing crazy, weird stuff. Other that having your name published in a record book for a year (because inevitably someone else will beat your record by the next release of Guiness), I don't see any benefits.

The benefit is 15 minutes of fame.

Oh yeah, I also saw a record for largest natural breasts...
