A recent one for me, which can be seen as a somewhat joke answer.

Sengoku Rance - The Terribler : so you're there, playing this, uh, questionable game (eroge) but then you get to the end of a dungeon.

And then you notice, "I'm actually having a pretty great boss battle with a good theme. In a freaking eroge. Holy shit." It helps that the game is not easy.

I was a user when Acmlm's Board was still a thing.

Then a first incarnation of Jul was made, and I was a user there because (???).

Then stuff blew up and the second Jul incarnation (this one) was born, and I was a user because (reasons).



I should become a story teller.

Don't quote me on that, but I think that in most cases uncompressed audio is going to be faster to read than decompressing audio and then playing it.

Then again, Disk IO could play a role, and you could also decompressed audio in loading screens and store that in memory.
