| um i did everything fine and it just freezes when i try to load the map i hacked. i think its firmware. im using a ds and a dsi v1.4. im using the firmware.nds on the dsi . any suggestions?? |

um no its a ds lite . by firmware is it when u take out a game in pictochat? it goes purpley/pink screen. but should firmware.nds not work? all i did was make the level bigger and i kept it in 256x256 pattern |

Well i changed the size on multicard to like 8192x256 and it worked. the method said anything on multicard now works on ds download play. i might have hacked the rom wrong but i dont think i did. maybe if you could upload one of your roms that you hex hacked just to see if its a firmware problem or if i hacked it wrong. |

I think u can change any of these two in 256 pattern....
If you can change both, why do the ORIGINAL levels have a height that is not a multiple of 256? I may be wrong, but I think you shouldnt mess with the height. Or maybe it has a different pattern?
i hex edited it wrong. i obviously made a mistake because i just tried the rom with multicard and still freezes. doesnt work. must be getting something wrong...

So which editor should I use if i want ds download play to work? I want to make the level bigger and also add a few sprites.
I mean so its like playing multi-card. |

hey everyone. I have probably tried nearly every method to get ds download play to work but i just cant get it to.
The only method i'm not sure i did correct was the hex editing one. I was wondering, if someone could please do this for me? since i am unable to.
I just need to find out if its me doing the method wrong, or if it is my flashcard ( R4i Gold )
So if anyone has some spare time, can you give me a hand?

I have a DSi and i have access to a DS lite ( Pink firmware i think ). I got firmware.nds on my R4i if that helps.
So i can load the firmware on my DSi and then put the R4 iinto the normal DS lite and try do ds download play.
So where can i upload my level for someone to do the hex editing for me? |

ok the ds lite is pink firmware. for the firmware.nds its loads up pink firmware on the dsi ( or its blue not 100% sure ) but i dont need it now anyways.
I made an account and uploaded the level.

PS: When the hex edit method was uploaded it said anything that worked on multi-card now works on single-card.
This level worked on Multi-card no problem so i dont see why this wont work. |

Damn no luck! eh on multicard spinies work fine i have tried serveral times doing this. I even used a level that has hardly been edited and the hex edit didnt work. I must be doing something wrong. spinies should work fine. Can u try hex edit it?
it could be a firmware problem but i wouldnt think so. So maybe could u hex edit the level in, test it, if it works upload a patch. Ill patch it to a rom, and see if it works of the ds and dsi i have. I would really appreciate it

I think, dirbaio (of anybody else) set the limitation to it
But I am not sure at all...
ok thanks man just making a multiplayer level and good so far but can only use 1 view and making it taller messes it up in multiplayer for some reason, so just wanted to make it much longer so it wont mess up

yeh i know but it would be alot easier to make it longer instead of floors if you know what i mean. im copying the first few levels in the single-player mode and making them into one big multi-player level so i already have 1-1 from the single-player done
do you know if i can copy a level and paste it into another one? not import the level but paste it? thanks
