Brown+green is in all the SSB games; blue+white is totally new.

Unused transformation textures, maybe? Keeping in mind that they weren't afraid to make Flying Mario a texture-swap...

Is anything beyond the frigate extant in the demo?

It's interesting that X-Ray crashes- late addition? Would explain why so little is done with it; just some invisible platforms, Chozo Ghosts, Omega Pirate, and phase 2 Metroid Prime.

All right, I just started combing through this, so there's not much to show- but there is one interesting line of text:

Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, or

At 0x2E8D60 in main.dol... competitive/cooperative online multiplayer, or just text from a common library?

This game has what LOOK like NARC files, oddly enough, but unsurprisingly narctool doesn't open them. Neither, for the record, does rarcdump.

So, are there any other Wii games with NARC-prefixed archives (first four characters of the file; same as DS NARC), or is this new?

I'd love to see Dragon Head Flower.

Bathtub Planet would also be interesting, to see if the game actually handles hot water differently.

EDIT: Also, Sand Golem, since we can't see THAT in a viewer!

Ian Malkovich was supposed to show up either in the Characters menu, or ingame... Alive, too. Character menu seems probable, since I see a reference to "face_ian" in main.rel; I'm going to see if I can find the texture, assuming it still exists.

Anyone get that file before it was taken down?

I CAN rip them, if not, but they're numbered and that means I have to rip EVERYTHING and check it.

I'd like to see if they left the _proper_ Gravity Suit on the disc. It was modeled, but not used because Sakamoto thought the color scheme didn't fit the "dramatic" moments late in the game.

If the test rooms are on disc, and in the room listing... Is there a room modifier code for this yet?

This is odd...

You see, there's a room that can be viewed through a Sector 2 elevator, but never entered. It has two doors in it.

Opening it in BRRES Viewer, we find that...



an entire room, with some interesting platforming and a (partial) elevator exterior exists.

Did I mention the doors MUST be objects, since they aren't part of the model?

(edit: all doors are objects, it looks like, but the rest still stands)

I need a walk-through-walls code. I want to see if this fucker has collision.

It's the only model in BRRES 1013.

EDIT: A variant with a full elevator exterior, which is lacking the bottom door, exists as well...? It's the room over Desert Refinery. Not so sure it was ever intended to be navigated now, but I'll still try to check both for collision.

EDIT 2: 103 contains the first of what I'm sure will be many prerendered cutscene environments.
