I wanted to play a game of Tetris with the name Rocket Shoot-off song so I made a music modifier, and I was curious to see what other songs there were. To my surprise there is actually an unused song!

Gameshark code 0111E8DF.

Yeah, it's the final victory song for the VS win. I guess all songs are used. The A-TYPE 1.0 is extremely rare and I want it. More unused stuff for real next time.

The actual cart, not the rom. I can get the rom from a million places easily.

The rom hasn't been released yet (but if you want it, I'll gladly give it) becasue no matter what emulator you use, you will see graphic glitches making the menu unreadable, as well as making the Super Scope tests unusable. I'm still trying to figure out why it is bad. The guy who dumped it for me stated that it works fine using a flashcard on a real SNES console. I don't have a SNES Powerpak to see it working on my SNES, but the cart itself works normally on my three SNES systems so I don't know what's wrong. I de-interleaved the rom with no avail. I'm getting a few copying utilities for myself to make a flawless copy.

I have some information on unused cinematic cutscenes from Tetris 2 (SNES), but I can't add it since there is already a "Tetris 2" for the Game Boy.

bsnes was the first emulator I tried. Maybe it does need hardware but then again, the Burn-in test works perfectly on bsnes. I'll release it on digitpress in a few days or so in it's current form.

Asside from the Zelda II music, there are various test for the SNES accessories, including the mouse and Super Scope. There is also the same alpha super Mario sprites present in the other test cartridge, and can be viewed in a tile viewer.

Gameshark code 0102FCCF02 lets you see a list of games and systems at start-up. Could it be that Nintendo was going to make DX versions of some of these games, and show them off in this demo, or are they just files for the demo? I tested it on my real cart, and I get the same names. There is also the full Wario Land 2 soundtrack in the rom, and I've yet to make a music modifier for that. TODO.

Edit: more info! at 0x0000C2AD (Gameshark Code: 0102ADC2) you can change the value to 02 and you can access the menu! The game demos themselves (used interal filenames for the games) have been dummied out unfortunately and have pointers set to either Wario, Zelda or Tetris DX. What's more? You have to push A instead of START to select the item. The other menu demos in the menu work like the Blackboard and such. There is an unused rotating cube demo with arrows floating around, and a beta demo Intro? I will continue to edit this as more discoveries are made.

Unless Retrode is wrong when it made the copy.

Here are the Wario Land 2 music and sound effect modifiers.
Music: 01??C0C2 - 01 plays one of the level themes in Wario Land 2. I will look into this further to get the other songs to play. I know they're in the there.
Sound Effect: 01??C1C2
Disables sound: 0101C4C2

Finally coming to the DS, and I can't wait until June 30th. I've been waiting for a long time. I hope this is a good investment unlike the PS2 version that has a somewhat poor emulation. Anyone else anticipating this title on their "games that will provide about an hour or two's worth of something, then will either be traded or lost" list?

I spent most of my childhood playing Gold and trading pokemon in the classroom. Great times.
I'm headed for the Lake of Rage now since I want that red Gyrados!

One of those few games that have been overlooked is Solar Striker for the Game Boy. The game starts out so-so difficulty-wise then as you get to the third stage the game become a little tricky, then as you make your way onto the fourth boss you'll most likely get a game over even with two lives. Since your weapon is downgraded after death, your chances of beating the fourth stage will be greatly reduced.

Christ! the C-stick doesn't do those games justice. It's even more-so awkward with Z-and B to bring up the menu. Try playing Night Stalker on the Gamecube!

EDIT: Dec 2010 is the new release date. I hope it doesn't get pushed into cancellation.

I know. Many of the games control schemes were just TERRIBLE. At least I sort of liked the ones that I could actually figure out how to play (looking at you, Astrosmash and Thunder Castle).

Thunder Castle, Astrosmash, and Snafu are definitely the best three games for the Intellivision.

lol. I almost broke my fucking thumb on that monstrosity.
