Heh, even making this thread I have had tons of these, anyways. Whenever I do something, starting from the moment I wake, I have these little voices in my head tell me that if I do X, I'm selling my soul to hell. The Spock in me knows it's just a glitch that means nothing, but the superstitious part of me is always too scared to do anything without hesistating or doing some micro-prayer. This has been getting in the way of me doing what I want to do, how I do it. I have looked up the therapy for how they cure this, and I have been trying to apply it to myself, mostly just going and realizing that what is going on is an illusion that I would never consent to and to force myself to do it without feeding my usual responses. Which is to flinch back and be tempted to not do anything. To be honest, Inside, I am not even really religious, but no matter what, there is that doubt of a doubt that prevents me from functioning with a smooth FPS.

More information: I have had OCD in other forms before, such as the washing hands or needing to complete a level in a video game perfectly, these I have gotten over, mainly because they didn't involve a concept I still hold in high regard. Sometimes I will disobey the compulsion, in which case I will need to go back and obey the compulsion to get over it, the above will lead into the human version of an infinite loop. As I have said before the compulsions are always telling me that if I don't do X, I'm giving myself away to the underworld. And irrational as the entire thing is, I cannot bring myself to ignore said compulsions. Few times I have tried led to me actually believing I just did that, before Spock came in and slapped common sense and reason back into me.
