A water bottle, my physics text book, my physics take-home test, my physics syllabus for this semester, a pencil, a calender, and a fork (used to eat cake).

So you can look up recipes/ nutritional information for things that don't have labels?

Beyond that, I don't know.

I need to do this more often. :U

If I don't wear a bra, or wear a shirt without a good shelf bra, things don't feel nice if I try to run or move up/down (especially down) stairs too quickly. I have to... support things... with my arms if I need to get places fast. It looks awkward: I'm essentially hugging myself just below my sternum while running.

Agreed. Denying a child basic needs such as clothing, access to hygiene, friends, activities... I'm surprised the mom let her go to college.

At least she's free now. Probably scarred for life and whatnot, but free to be her own person. At least, I hope so.

Edit: Also, why didn't anyone see the signs? I thought they taught teachers how to recognize symptoms of abuse, and then to contact appropriate authorities to rescue the child...

Being a parent is the most difficult job you can have, yet it's the one with the fewest requirements: all you need is two opposite sets of working genitals. If only there could be a test...

There never will be, though. Ethics and whatnot. Denying certain people the right to reproduce, no matter how unqualified they are, will undoubtedly start a shitstorm. Not to mention the actual logistics of the test: what's on it, what's not on it, how it's to be administered, etc.

My current favorite status is from a friend of a friend:

"Osama bin Laden: World Champion of hide-and-seek, 2001-2011"

Also, I thought this one was good, too:

"Human death is never a good thing. Necessary, maybe, but it will never be anything I'll ever party about."

It's good that we got him, but unfortunately, it won't bring back the 9/11 victims, and there will definitely be some sort of retaliation.

Still, this will probably massively boost troop morale.

An empty water bottle, my cell phone, a pencil, a napkin, a couple of finished sudokus. And pencil erasings.

Also, my backpack, purse, and contents therein.

Speaking of black holes, final on Thursday in Special Topics in Physics: Relativity and Exploring Black Holes!

It's probably too late for me, but I think I could make a difference for future physics majors. I'm especially fond of a freshman physics girl with red hair (redhead girl power go!). I'll probably end up sending an email to the department head. I won't name anything specific (I usually don't like being a tattle-tale), but just say that, in general, we seem to be expected to know things, and that I (and probably others) find the task of learning it all on our own overwhelming and could we pretty please have a course. It wouldn't have to be mandatory, so people who know what their doing don't have to be bored.
