...found a bug already. Nothing major, but if you go to the music tab there's no box asking you to load a ROM first, then when you go to any other tab other than the import tab, it shows the warning, then it bumps you back to the music tab.

I'm not really sure what happened to messain/frauber/whatever, and I'm not sure why you're making mods of his tool...but okay.

More power to you I guess.

EDIT: If you're not sure why I'm not sure...think if I started making modifications to it...

The only difference I found is that the instruments are better named, the MIDI list is a lot shorter, and it actually works in SynthFont.

Don't forget, the original SM64 was not made for multiplayer. The ROM might have to be tweaked, but I'm guessing just a simple modification so that the second Mario is controlled by the Player 2 controller would be sufficient.

Edit: HA I meant Luigi. Even I don't pay attention to him it seems...

Edit2: Wait, what am I talking about? You have to set the Player 2 controller's buttons anyway in order to control Luigi locally...er.

WXP...except I don't really remember it, so instead I'll say Windows 7.

Even though I'm using 7 RIGHT NOW and it hasn't actually crashed recently (even though it has way more than 1000 registry errors, I sometimes leave it on for more than 3 days, and I have a shit ton of stuff running on it at almost all times)...it's slow. Not unusable, but slow. Also explorer.exe restarts randomly (but that very rarely happens).

I want a Mac, even more so now that 10.9 Mavericks has some awesome techniques to speed up the system and keep it running fast, but I can't keep money because wants.

I swear I have no idea why Microsoft's not taking advantage of Mac technologies. They could EASILY rip off the Mac.

Although logically maybe it's why Microsoft's stuff is so bad...Apple keeps patenting everything. You are SO cute, you patent-er, Apple! < /sarcasm >

Hooray! No more inconsistent image sizes and now with more Twilight Sparkle and less Mario (one image I left alone tho…just because I felt like it)!

Mine was on the whole time I was away. I only updated it because I became interested in Jul again.

This blog layout.

I tried a lot of themes for my WordPress blog but none of them really tickled my fancy.

So I gave up and wrote my own look in CSS. Also that’s how I taught myself CSS.

I still update it from time to time.

Posted on 03-01-15 06:02:39 PM, in Anyone else having this problem? (last edited by DarkSpacer at 03-01-15 06:10:48 PM) Link
Do any of you have this weird problem where if you go to edit your profile, and then go back to re-edit it, the edit field appears to be blank?

That’s happening to me. And a conversation with Xkeeper revealed that my MacBook Pro is inserting smart quotes instead of regular quotes, which causes the board to choke when it tries to format the content for editing.

So I turned that off in System Preferences. To no effect.

So now I’m lost on what to do next. Any ideas?

EDIT: Oh crap. Just realized this is in the wrong forum. Can someone move this?

I must admit you’ve got a bit
that will make quite the quip.

I am surprised but also honored
that any of you have even bothered
To make this jest of a game
and that IE5 is to blame

I wonder how all the other guys
will make rhymes worthy of the skies
And how many of these rhymes
will just be really bad

And BOOM. BLUE.

Also in case you guys don’t know and are trying to get your CSS working as well, you need to use
<div style="—-CSS GOES HERE—-">

Also at the time of this writing, Dropbox appears to randomly slow down. Great. Just when I got this working…

EDIT: Updated post background to Base64 code so it’s inline and won’t not load anymore. I doubt I can do that with my mood avatars…

........oh.

Am I the best at Jul then? Or should I shorten it? Or does it matter because I have no idea how this forum works?

No one is using the SM64 Hacking forum?

It’s like the most interesting hacking community I’ve come across. Why the dead air?

Hopefully it’s just a sag that will eventually be filled by a burst of good ideas.

…huh…well, you can’t blame the Internet for doing that to itself.

But still…it was a great community…

As much as some people were idiots, the moderation going on in the SM64 forum was so tight it could have scared users away regardless of their intelligence. You don't really feel welcome in a place that has shit like "READ THIS OR DIE" or "DON'T MAKE NEW TOPICS" plastered all over. It's like if cops were out in the streets going "DON'T COMMIT CRIMES OR DIE" at random people while pointing guns at them, under the name of "preventing crime".

Besides, idiots don't read

This kind of thing is what happens when you think too hard about what the Internet could do to a forum…or anyplace on the Internet.

What people really should do is let the fanbase adjust itself around the theme, poking it into shape here and there, not really requiring any huge projects…then after it has had time to settle, THEN crack down…but only a little bit, and around what was generated during the settlement, not around the original idea.

Eh, okay. It's just a unique form of hentai that I was curious to see. Reverse image searching didn't turn up anything...

Guess I'll go somewhere else to ask...
