| If you set it up properly, the database engine itself could block invalid data. Such as posting to invalid threads or forums. |

| Because it's generally easier and faster to do it database-side. |

| Fails to load in ZSNES... garbled block at the beginning then blank screen. Using Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island (USA).sfc (also known as v1.0 by the GoodShit Tools)
edit: just remembered the classic problem of headered/headerless files. Prepending 512 bytes of 0x00 (before patching, of course), crashes ZSNES ![]() |

| I might be crazy (in fact, I'm fairly sure I am ...), but HTML doesn't really sound too appealing. It seems to be better off using LaTeX (use LyX for those that don't write plain LaTeX) so you can do fancy cross-references and other things where HTML would have to be manually adjusted for every minor thing. You can always generate HTML page(s), PDF, etc from a LaTeX source, so easy viewing by users will not be hindered. |

| That's not actually public domain... nor does it comply with any of the commonly accepted definitions of free software or open source software (hint: "non-commercial").
If you don't mind me saying, I like the ISC License. You might have made up your mind already, but heh. |

| I doubt the ROM would really be of any use unless you happen to be able to emulate the adapter and stream other ROMs into it, or however it worked. |

| (My previous post over-looked a sentence of yours; if you saw it, ignore it)
If that's what you really want, then I guess it's perfect. If only it were easier to put it in the public domain ... (in the United States at least, legally putting something in the public domain is harder than simply slapping ISC or WTFPL on it ). |

Flash has drag-and-drop game templates people like to use, but I wouldn't be surprised if they exist for Java too
also, Java does indeed support faster graphics and stuff. Like it can actually play a video directly to your cards framebuffer so it won't get all slow full screen. |

If you're using Linux or OS X (and that's pretty much the only choices you have; at least with Java you can use almost any OS you desire), prepare for tons of crashes and desyncs because of the Flash player. And the claim that Java is slow... it's been an urban legend since Java's original introduction. It's never been true. |

| Browsers have little to do with it. By design, plugins can be very dangerous, potentially destroying all data your user privileges allow, if you were unlucky enough. |
