I got a long ways to go before I make any sort of milestone thread.

Whee, numbers!

Though I'm pretty sure my highest post count ever was 2,500.

One of my good buddies showed me the Famicom game "Otocky" last night. It's kinda neat, but I'm not a fan of some of the play control. Very music based, and also plays Gradius-esque.

Yeah, I should probably put this in a Flash game thread, but really, I think it's pretty standout and interesting. It's probably my favorite Flash game series.

I've been a fan of this point-and-click series ever since the first one. It seems with each game, the story gets more and more mysterious and eerie. I love how the game is rather eerie, but it's not like a horror game or anything.

There's a site here you can play the series at:
http://submachineworld.com/

Anyone else a fan?

Canada's like...maybe a couple hours from me. Then again, it's just New Brunswick, so...yeah.

We used to be able to freely go over the border. Now we can't, and it sucks.

Shit, that's three things celebrating a birthday today. Another is my grandmother, the most awesome woman in the known world.

Happy Birthday to Jul!

A couple of well-known cut tidbits. Or maybe one well-known and one not.

Kitana
Eurocom decided to add in Kitana as a hidden character in the game, but there wasn't enough time to finish working on her. She's kind of unfinished, but she's still fairly playable.

In the PS1 version, her character model is not available. However, in the N64 version, it is. The reason being is that of the PS1's use of FMVs over the N64's real time cinematics. They needed to use a character model for Kitana, so they just snagged the one from the ending and tossed it on there. Only Kitana's move set remains in the PS1 version.

In the N64 version, to access her, use the Gameshark code 800FE293 0010 to access her. She has no character portrait, so playing her in 1P mode will likely freeze the game.

Her voice fluctuates between the man and woman voices (creepy!), and she only has two special moves; a fireball and the Square Wave Flight. She has her own Fatalities too, but they're just ripped from other fighters. However, she does have her own unique weapon, the fan! It works like the boomerang, but has its own texture and everything.

Skull Stage
An unfinished Skull stage can be accessed by using the Gameshark code 800FE55B 000A. You need to use the "Restart This Match" option to get the background to show up properly, for whatever reason (In Arcade Mode, you need the Gameshark code 8004938B 0002 to add that option).

The stage looks kind of neat, but rather barren. Also, the music is kind of wonky and doesn't play the right tunes at any given point.

Randper Kombat
The Gameshark code 81126F6E 0100 "enables" Randper Kombat as a Kombat Kode, but the code itself has been dummied out. Not sure how this one would've worked.

If I can just get some screenshots, I'll throw it up onto the wiki.

I'm pretty much over it now, and I just have happy memories of the guy. It was just kind of a sudden downer thing.

I also have a few photos to remember him by, so it's not like after I bury him, I can't watch him again if I get a little sentimental. :3

I'm working my way through SNEE as well. It hasn't been helping me any that I've had to keep taking breaks so I forget what I've done and what to investigate.

I've known about this a while.

I also decided to put a kind-of obscure character from one of the Saw movies by repeatedly frigging with it enough. It eventually did it. Look for Seth Baxter from Saw V. That's entirely my doing.

Why did I do it? I'unno, I just kinda felt like it, honestly.

I decided to let it go easy and get Gordon Ramsay. I also tried Elian Gonzalez for the hell of it and it guessed that one.

Damn this thing is fun. I'm glad someone brought it back up.
