I'm working on a Gameboy disassembler. I've already made a Z80 disassembler for the TI calculators, so converting it to GB shouldn't be too hard.
It will crawl all over the file to locate where the code is, and everything else is tagged as "data". It makes labels for all 16 bit values, whether jumped there or used as a 16 bit load. It will also let you rename the labels, and re-disassemble to use the new names. Any features you want to see in the program? -------------------- |

Yes, it's that map all right.
Set the area class to 50, and it displays correctly. Or go down two planes, where there is a duplicate of that map which already has the correct area class set. -------------------- |

This might be old news to some people, but everything written in Java, Flash, and C#/VB .net can be easily decompiled back to something strongly resembling the original source code.

Many ISPs have clauses in their TOS forbidding this kind of program.

I've once put my paging file on a RAM disk. What ended up happening is that stuff ran much faster. There were times when you could tell it was swapping to the paging file, but the 'grinding' was at least 20 times faster, so it never got sluggish.
The biggest thing I noticed was that there were far more limits to the number of simultaneous programs you could run at a time. You would start to see out of memory error messages. -------------------- |

Maybe this is just Ubuntu being retarded, but once Linux runs out of RAM and goes into Thrash Mode, you can basically kiss your computer good bye. GUI response takes about 5 whole seconds to update the position of the mouse cursor. No response from SSH connections. Nothing left to do but Alt + SysRq + REISUB.

Fight Bald Bull:
PPNZGGAA (initial match is demo bald bull) IEUPEZAE (stop game from quitting after 2 minutes) PEUPSXSY (stop game from quitting after 2 minutes) You still get a minor glitch after 2 minutes, but it no longer quits the game like it normally would. Normally there would be a third code for the 2 minute trigger, but I kept it to 3 total codes so you could actually do it with a Game Genie. -------------------- |

Also amusing is what happens if you force a fight with Tyson in the Japanese version of Punch Out:

Where can I get more information about the standard "sappy" GBA music driver?
Specifically, I'm interested in the format of the data, including the sample tables, songs, etc. -------------------- |

Gocomics.com has uploaded a Full-Resolution 3.75MB 7680x5400 TIFF file of today's FoxTrot comic instead of the usual Web-Resolution JPEG version. So if you've ever wanted a full-quality copy of a FoxTrot comic, now's your chance to grab it. I expect this to be fixed within an hour or two, and you won't be able to grab it from there after that.
Right click on the word FoxTrot where the image should be. You can View Image to save the TIFF file. I was just noticing that The Cutting Room Floor is really really slow, and pages fail to load about 2/3 of the time. What's going on with the server?

I can think of an obvious reason why King's Tomb got changed in Zelda 2.
In the Japanese version of the game, there is load time when you change from the overworld to a town and back again. But in the US version, you have bankswitching instead. So if there was a town area just to tell you it was king's tomb, the load time needed to do that would piss off a lot of players. -------------------- |

Originally posted by Xkeeper Yep, that site also fails to load 2/3 of the time. But JUL loads fine. What's really really weird is that the server is quite responsive to pinging. edit: once in a while I get a few timeouts while doing continuous pinging. But nothing quite as bad as trying to load a page. -------------------- |

I saw this on Reddit. It's a really cool look at some awesome glitches for Final Fantasy 6 for the SNES.
http://lparchive.org/Breaking-Final-Fantasy-VI/ Among the glitches is a way to get General Leo in your party, without any hacking. Yeah, I totally remember all the FWAKs and other AOL garbage about this exact topic. Bonus: Lesbian Incest to mother yourself ![]() -------------------- |
