I've been hacking NSMB for a while but i was wondering something.
Could it be possible to edit an enemy's sprites, say edit a goomba to make it look like a shyguy?

this happened to me too. it only happens on world 1-2. what i had to do was to download a new NSMB rom and export the original 1-2 to a folder, and then open up the rom which 1-2 doesn't work, import the level, and try again.

Can you explain more? Maybe you edited the palette for it.

I exported the tileset, changed the palette, and imported it back into the game.

Well. Thanks anyway.

I decided to attempt to make an airship level in NSMB. Here's the result:

<object width="425" height="344"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZvzxZtbLLNM&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

2. Design: It could really use some tune ups in design to make it better. The bullet bill part is very plain and not very well set up. The part where you have to walljump up and there are dry bones is not the best either. But the biggest complaint is the length, it's simply way to short.

3. Colors: if the sky color is black then make the damn cloud darker too. V_v;

and lastly, scrolling level would be nice, but I'm not sure there is such thing in NSMB or not.

The first two i can fix, but the clouds are not yet possible.

I changed some stuff around and added a jr. fight. It's better than the last video but not much of an improvement.

this was working for me fine, until i imported the sound_data.sdat into the game. i played it and most of the game has no sound and in parts where there is sound, it is screwed to hell.

This pisses me off greatly. First of all, these parents complaining about this should think. When they were young, what were they doing? Getting smashed? Getting High? Sticking it to the parents? I bet their parents didn't like that either. It's just life.
Also someone commented about gen-y slang being because of video games. Well, this may shock people, but if there were no such thing as slang we would still be talking like fucking shakespeare. IT'S LIFE. Get over it, and just because ONE GRAND THEFT AUTO ADDICTED kid has no life, doesn't mean we all don't. Infact, I have been playing games all of my life, And I am in the 'gifted' class at school. SO THANKS, SATAN.

When i extract the logo file, open in tile molester, it says: 0%
forever

First, did you decompress it before extracting it? If not, do so and try it.
Second, Try This TileMolester Download (Zophar.net)
Third, If that doesn't work, try a different ROM

1st: Yes, i did the LZ Decompress
2nd: I download my TM from Zophar's Domain
3rd: I already tried with 7 roms, got the same thing

When you LZ Decompress the file, did you export it to a folder? Because it won't work if you open the rom itself.

As you can see in the first post, the levels that wouldn't work the same on the ds have been left out.

i figured out why the game is glitchy, it's because the game is not corrupted, but some of the levels are corrupted. so i have been re-making 1-1 on a new rom and it worked perfectly on flashcarts and emulators.
